I am only giving more than one star because of the kind staff. The receptionist was wonderful and polite, the dental assistant that helped Dr. Uldrikson was informative, kind, helpful and made me feel very comfortable. I went in because I broke a tooth, or rather shattered it, and discovered a horrible cavity under the surface. The dental assistant asked if I'd like it taken out, since that seemed to be the only option. I expected as much. So I said yes and she went and got me my estimate. While waiting, Dr. Uldrikson came in and didn't say a word. If I hadn't said hello, I doubt he would've made a peep at me. He was horribly rough, he shoved that needle in my mouth so hard I barely had time to comprehend what he had just done. No warning, nothing. He didn't even tell me he was about to numb me. Then he wandered off without telling me what he was doing. I knew we had to wait for the numbing to kick in, but still, at least say "I will be right back." Or something. When he went to start the extraction, I wasn't numb all the way so he had to try a few more times. Each time he was as rough as the first time. He scraped my tongue with the needle a couple times too. Didn't even apologize. The extraction itself was fine, after being numbed a thousand times, of course I'm not gonna feel it. But as soon as he was done he was off. Didn't say another word to me, he just ran off to his next paycheck. That was how I felt, like he was digging in my mouth for gold and once he was done, it was "Screw off, see you later." The dental assistant, thankfully, told me about my aftercare and made me feel comfortable and at ease. I am SO grateful for her. Then when I went to leave, the receptionist told me the doctor wrote down that I need two more teeth examined, which he didn't say a word to me about at all. Didn't even hint at it. He pointed them out when he first looked in my mouth but all he said was "Got a couple cavities back here." And that was it. He didn't say he wanted to examine them or what he wanted to do. The receptionist had to get up and go ask him what that was about. Hell no I am not going back to him. I pity his staff for having to work with such an uncaring, unprofessional, stone cold husk of a man. Perhaps if he worked on his bedside manner and didn't man handle people in a delicate situation, I would. But I won't. Bad form, doc. Bad form.. read more

I have been to Dr. Uldrikson several times over the past 4 years. I have been very happy with his work, which has been extensive. He is rather hard to get to know at first, but it is not for his lack of knowledge or caring. He is very friendly once you get to know him. His office staff does seems to change often, but I am a firm believer in being responsible for your own patient advocacy. Another great perk of using Dr. Uldrikson is that he does IV sedation if you are particularly anxious patient. Any dental procedure is expensive now days. But you get what you pay for. I have dental insurance that pays a portion of my fees which I am fortunate to have. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. But, I will give one star just because the staff are wonderful and friendly. The dentist I himself- not so much. As a first time patient he came in, didn't introduce himself. Asked me to open and while inspecting my teeth he spoke different codes to the assistant as she jotted them down. Then he walked out. I had to ask the assistant what the plan was and what I could do for my pain. All the while, Barry was goofing off in the back and flirting with the girls working for him. So, I wasn't impressed with my visit. Fast forward to my fiancé's visit. My fiancé was told he needed to have two of his wisdom teeth taken out. So, he underwent the procedure while fully awake. Feeling every single thing. When he specifically asked to be asleep during the procedure. So much for "sedation dentistry" HA! Anyway, after the surgery he was in intense pain for a week, which can be normal. But, then a week turned into two and then into three. Finally he went to another dentist in town who did x-rays and found that Barry had used the back bottom tooth as leverage to get the wisdom tooth out. When he pushed his tool against that tooth, it gouged the tooth causing a hole. So, the new dentist gave him a filling to see if that would help. It has not. So now we have to go to an Endodontist to see about possibly a root canal or just taking out the tooth. New dentist suspects the interior of the tooth may have cracked. All of this because Barry is a rushed, unpersonable, not detail oriented sorry excuse for a dentist. Do not go to him. Do not give him a dime. You will give him a dime then end up spending thousands more trying to fix what he damages. read more

I got a tooth pulled it cost me 260 it expensive iI had emergencyI was in pain... my blood pressure was high I was going to do it but I they qote me 140 to 260 i don.t have insurance I give them credit card they range it up to 260. I DIDN.T HAVE THAT MUCH ON MY CARD I CANCELLED I WENT TO Er I was in pain awful awful Pain get my blood prrssure check i go back to Dr.Uldrikson told the office lady let pull it i can.t go on with this pain iI got it pulled... I glad I got it Pulled..it pain n it was fast n quick...I owe my bank 60 more dollars ....so make sure u know what it cost u i don.t want to die but everyone need dentists.. .n low cost.. .i could die easy.... if it get bad all my teeth need to be pulled i will be lucky if i can find free Dentist....people die from tooth access...can we please have a free densist...!!!! Then i will give 5stars! All people need free dentist care...or we going to die if we can.t afford a dentist..... it kind of sad society about money....I am glad he pulled it he nice guy ... I think he save my life!!! money is not everything.. but i grateful he saw me .. and he help me so don.t annoy ya teeths if u need denstist he good! just kind of wish he go lower on his prices ..maybe he can have a free contest give five people free densist work i then be happiest client on earth give him all my stars!!!!! read more

My 80 year old mother went to this quack to get some dental implants. He gave her a price to have all of her work done, and then asked for twice as much after he was already paid the estimate. When confronted with the disparity, he insinuated that my mother had a poor memory, which she doesn't. This guy preys on the elderly. Stay away. read more

My husband has seen this dentist before with not very good end results, but this visit was horrific! There were so many mistakes made, all which could have been avoided had the dentist even cared enough to do the job like a proper dentist would have. My husband had to have four teeth extracted. The dental "assistant" took 10 x-rays.. yes I said 10, and was complaining that she just couldn't get the roots in the x-rays (pretty damn important thing when you are having molars removed). So she said that the doc will just have to figure it out. Really??? omg.. So then Dr. Uldrikson comes in, jabs and sticks the needles into my husbands mouth from the very back teeth, all the way to the front teeth. And this man is not nice when he does this (I know from personal experience with him and refuse to go back to him). Then he starts the extractions and was complaining that he couldn't see the roots on the x-rays! But instead of doing the x-rays again so that he could see, he just decided to have it and do it in the blind. Really??? omg #2.. The whole time the extractions were going on, my husband felt everything! He kept telling the doc he could, and the doc just kept jabbing him with more numbing injections that hadn't worked to begin with. At this point my husband told him to just get it over with, (it's not like you can just stop and leave). Dr. Uldrikson was complaining again, but it was because the roots were hooked into the nerves and he was actualy pissed off because of this. Guess he should have taken proper x-rays!! If he would have had even a decent x-ray he would have known. omg#3.. So it got done, my husband was bleeding like a stuck pig. Blood was coming out the corners of his mouth, and I mean it was trickling out. This went on for 24 hours. It was so bad that the pharmacy gave him a garbage can to put under his chin while he waited for his antibiotics and pain meds. It's been 7 days and he's still bleeding. He's got some numbness at the corner of his mouth along with some drooling. He's in a lot of pain. He followed the after care instructions to the letter, and is still doing those, and yet he is still suffering. His gums look like black and blue hamburger, his lips are bruised from the doc pushing hard on the tools and smashing his lips with them, his neck is even sore.. the doc was pulling and yanking so hard that my husbands head was being pulled around the head rest. To those that are saying.. go back..make him fix it... we tried that before and his staff just says.. it's all perfectly normal.. your fine.. give it time and it will heal. And now my husband is too scared to go back. He said that dentist (if you still want to call him a dentist, I prefer the word Butcher) will never lay another finger on him. You couldn't pay my husband to go back to this horrible doc. He should have his license revoked. We sincerely hope this review helps someone to avoid the same experience. If even one person can be spared the pain and agony of something like what my husband went through, then it was well worth the thought put into writing it. If you value yourself in any way, don't go to this dentist, find a real one. read more

This office is a complete zoo. The only thing missing from the chaos is the farm animals. There's children running around, yelling and no one seems to know what's going on. No one in the building knows what they're talking about to include the Incompetent billing person. Paid cash for dentures with their coupon. Got the eob and they still billed my insurance and used all my insurance left for dental and they're currently trying to charge me twice for dentures I already paid cash for. Dentures I've had for only a month part of it broke off while eating and they told me it was my fault and I would have to pay an additional $200 for it to be fixed as well as they wanted to use part of my insurance to pay as well. Also would have no teeth while it was getting it fixed. ok so how is this not normal wear as I was eating one month after having them. Might I add I eat regular food not rocks so not sure how this was my fault. I only went because I have to work around work schedule and they were open when I needed. That was a huge mistake that has cost me time money and a lot of aggravation and frustration!!! The worst part is they really don't even care. I have heard that the dr isn't well and for that I feel bad for him. At the same time he's running a business and wasting my time and money which is ridiculous. I read the reviews but figured it couldn't be that bad but believe me it's worse. Stop while you're ahead and go somewhere else you have been warned and hopefully save you from a lot of frustration and wasted time and money. Also it doesn't matter what they tell you in the office as the billing person does whatever she would like and doesn't seem to communicate the same thing that the office has told you. She bills you whatever she likes and is extremely rude and doesn't care about making it right. The place is an absolute nightmare of a place and our insurance is currently investigating for insurance issues. Would rather throw our money out the window and hope someone does something good with it than waste it on this company as you won't get anything good in return. I won't even start on how he has cave man like practice that goes back to Stone Age and you aren't even numb as he's pulling stuff out of your mouth and your yelling in pain. NIGHTMARE!!!!! The worst experience I ever had with any dentist. His mission was to cause me pain. He came up behind me with his mask on and jammed his instruments in my mouth. Didn't wait for The novacaine to work. When I cried out in pain...he threw his instruments on the tray and walked out. After 6 shots of novacaine and one shot of Demerol.....he finished digging out bone fragments. Be warned.........stay away from this dentist. read more

These last 5 days I have had an emergency with a serious infection with a tooth and my jaw bone area. I called Dr. Uldrikson's office and they literally fit me in the same day. I had tremendous pain along with tremendous swelling. But the good news was that I had a most pleasant experience, and this was with a new dentist for me. I ended up having an I-V of antibiotics which within 20-30 minutes started reducing the swelling. By time I left that first appointment I was pain free with no drugs other than the antibiotics in that I-V. The doctor gave me simple instructions, the how and whys, and explained how it worked, applying low heat to the infected area that had all that swelling. I looked like I had been hit with a bat and was swollen so badly it is hard to describe. I called 2 days later and said the swelling was down at least 90%. The next day they had an available appointment slot so I went back in for the extraction this time. The back molar tooth was pulled with no complications at all. I was told how "good" he was at extractions with the best results and this proved to be true. During the next 4-5 hours after that extraction, when the numbness wore off, I only needed one ibuprofen for some slight discomfort, low pain. Today is the day after. I feel great! Besides being a very caring dentist I experienced his staff as fully supportive and very kind, everyone of the staff was very kind and friendly. More than anything I experienced an office fully trained and caring. Thank you Kelly, Paula, Melissa, Debbie, Melanie and all the rest of that staff. You were wonderful with me and to me. Thank you Dr. Uldrikson for a most pleasant experience. ** (I had gone to 2 other dentists in Las Vegas for this same issue prior to this last flare up. -In the Vegas dentists- They took my money and never pulled the tooth. Unpleasant experiences which left me putting dentists in the "very dislike" column in my mind. ) I now can say my faith is renewed in dentists. You really have to search out for really experienced and trained professionals when you really want a professional result. Dr. Uldrikson has that education and experience, with results.
