They are always ready to offer guidance, answer questions, and provide personalized workout plans. I appreciate their expertise and the fact that they genuinely care about helping me achieve my fitness goals. I feel very welcomed here. Barely have any machines there's one of each so it makes it nearly impossible to do your workout session in a timely manner, since you have to wait for sometimes 2-3 ppl to use a machine before you can get to it. I happened to move to the suburbs and didn't have a chance to cancel in person so I thought I'd call THEY NEVER ANSWERED THE DAMN PHONE I CALLED LIKE 7-8 times NO ONE PICKED UP THE DAMN PHONE!!! The one time my partner went in person to cancel his membership he was given the run around and was not able to cancel his membership! We just want out of this horrible gym, the staff isn't easy to work with at all! I just want to cancel my membership and they make it nearly impossible! HORRIBLE SERVICE DO NOT PURCHASE MEMBERSHIP!! Update I sent an email to cancel since I moved and they're saying I have to live 25+ miles away from the gym to cancel my membership which is complete and utter bs!! The cancellation process is ridiculous and nearly impossible save yourself the headache AND DONOT GET A MEMBERSHIP HERE THEY MUST BE DOING TERRIBLY FINANCIALLY TO MAKE IT THIS FRICKIN IMPOSSIBLE AND FRUSTRATING TO CANCEL A SIMPLE MEMBERSHIP NOT EVEN AT MY LAST GYM DID I HAVE SUCH A HARD TIME TO CANCEL A MEMBERSHIPPPP

I've been going to this gym for about 3 years now and to be frank, I only still choose them because…read moreit's convenient. But first let's start with the good. The gym is very clean and usually not packed. There is a wide selection of machines to use and a personal trainer on site which is great. Also I love the community feel of the gym that is absent from most big box gyms. Now for the bad news. Some equipment like treads or a cable machine or two will be broken for months at a time which isn't a huge deal if you can find some other way to work the muscle group you're looking to work. I also don't like that I was sold a steam room when I signed up as though it was coming in the near future...it's been 3 years and it's nowhere near complete and not even coming soon. And my biggest pet peeve is when I leave the gym and they call me to "remind me" that I need to re-rack my weights. As though I'm not re racking them on purpose. I have ADHD so I might forget to rerack a machine out of the 4 or 5 I use when I come. But the bottom line is yes I should rerack and I try to but I'm not paid to rerack the weights there. That isn't my job. So if I forget then there should be someone there to do it that works there and I shouldn't be getting called about that. And all this comes with a price of 35 dollars a month (I'm grandfathered in but the new price is 50+) with a yearly $100+ fee with barely any improvements and NO STEAM ROOM.

All of the lockers are broken from people breaking into them, everything is absolutely DISGUSTING. It seriously looks as if no one has ever cleaned anything, especially the walls and floors. Equipment is broken for months on end, and there's always broken glass in the parking lot from where people have smashed windows to break into cars. It's a total nightmare. They also won't pay for heating/cooling, so in the summertime it's 90 degrees in there and your sweating as soon as you walk in, and in the winter it's 50 degrees.

I usually enjoy Planet Fitness, but this location really missed the mark. Several of the fitness…read morefloor lights have been out for almost a year now, which has made the gym look gloomy and uninviting -- not the kind of atmosphere you want when trying to get motivated for a workout. On top of that, the temperature inside was uncomfortably cold, both on the floor and especially in the men's locker room. It made the entire visit unpleasant. I even have a photo that clearly shows the poor lighting conditions. Management really needs to address these issues -- lighting and temperature are basic comfort factors that shouldn't be overlooked. Until things improve, I'll be avoiding this location and reporting this to the Better Business Bureau. Do better.

Located on the 9th floor of the One Chicago building near Magnificent Mile. To gain access into the club you can either walk in from the main lobby floor of One Chicago and take the elevator up to the 9th floor and that's where the club entrance is. There's only two elevators, during rush hour times there is often a line just to go up or down. You could take the stairs but who wants to climb 9 levels? That alone is a workout! Once you're inside the club there's 2 floor levels. The first floor has the check-in lobby, cafe, bar, locker rooms, rooftop pool and spa. The second level has all the workout equipment, cardio, and studio rooms for workout classes. I wasn't a big fan of the layout, it's kind of all over the place. Got a chance to take a Warrior Sculpt class with Taylor and it was awesome! One of the best sculpt classes I've ever had. I've seen some reviews complain about issues with the staff being rude but I honestly did not encounter any of that. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Oh and one last thing! This Life Time is open 24 hours! That's something I've never seen before, not even in NYC. That's a major win.

I was given a 90 minute pass for dinner and they seem strict on the time. My friend also gave me a tour. It's an impressive space!! About 450,000 square feet, spanning across 2 full city blocks and 5 levels. They have everything you can think of: pools (4 pools!), saunas, restaurants, tennis, golf, basketball, boxing, group glasses, weights, machines, pickleball, spa, hair and nail salon, indoor running track, co-working space, and so much more. Beautiful artwork, pristine locker rooms and restrooms. Wow! High ceilings and so much space overall. Nothing felt crowded. Beautiful design and layout. I was in awe and very impressed.

(Kari's Rating 7.5/10)…read more TLDR -Up-to-Date equipment -Work from home spaces -Convenient Healthy Market Came with a friend to hang out on a Wednesday around 5:30pm to see what East Bank Club is all about. After seeing all the crazy amenities which were super cool with a ton of variety, I think the thing that surprised me the most is how up-to-date all of the equipment was and the variety of activities they had for people to enjoy. If you're looking for an all encompassing workout/work space, this is it! They have everything from full-size tennis courts, to a golf simulator-like set up,except you get to hit into an inflatable pillow! They also had plenty of Pickleball courts, and they offer so many different workout group classes.both a wet and dry, sauna, and tons of treadmills and free weights. I was also really impressed that they also had a physical training area. So think something that was my personal favorite and the best thing for Chicago Summers is a beautiful rooftop pool and lounge area. Not only did they have two outdoor pools (one for adults and one for kids) but they also have an indoor pool as well for winter as well as an indoor hot tub! They also had a common area workspace where people can come to take meetings and do their work from home gigs. You could practically move in here haha! As of right now, it is a $750 new membership fee as well as $295 a month, which is a pretty hefty chunk of change if you ask me considering most of the high rises around, have some kind of rooftop pool and workout area. It is cheaper if you join with a domestic partner or if you're between the ages of 16 and 29-see pic for current pricing. They also sometimes host social events which is super fun to meet everyone else in the club, but at the same time I think it is more of an investment in your future and your future health if you can afford it! I will not be joining at the moment, but hey-that could change anytime if I decide I should be on a health kick.
