Everything feels like it's no older than 5 years (that might be be because the gym is actually that old) and it's extremely clean. They have a beautiful studio dedicated for group fitness, more cardio machines than you could ever want, and sufficient weight machines to keep you from boredom. The staff is also extremely friendly and it feels like a big family here. It's not perfect though -- the gym is closed on Sundays which is a huge bum! There's nothing like feeling productive on a Sunday by getting a sweat in. Also theres only one squat rack so after work hours it can be a bit of a wait. TRG (the rush gym), so close to perfection.

I've been going to this gym for about 3 years now and to be frank, I only still choose them because…read moreit's convenient. But first let's start with the good. The gym is very clean and usually not packed. There is a wide selection of machines to use and a personal trainer on site which is great. Also I love the community feel of the gym that is absent from most big box gyms. Now for the bad news. Some equipment like treads or a cable machine or two will be broken for months at a time which isn't a huge deal if you can find some other way to work the muscle group you're looking to work. I also don't like that I was sold a steam room when I signed up as though it was coming in the near future...it's been 3 years and it's nowhere near complete and not even coming soon. And my biggest pet peeve is when I leave the gym and they call me to "remind me" that I need to re-rack my weights. As though I'm not re racking them on purpose. I have ADHD so I might forget to rerack a machine out of the 4 or 5 I use when I come. But the bottom line is yes I should rerack and I try to but I'm not paid to rerack the weights there. That isn't my job. So if I forget then there should be someone there to do it that works there and I shouldn't be getting called about that. And all this comes with a price of 35 dollars a month (I'm grandfathered in but the new price is 50+) with a yearly $100+ fee with barely any improvements and NO STEAM ROOM.

When you request to cancel or pause your membership, they'll continue to take your money but won't actually process the request properly. In my case, when I asked them to cancel my membership in advance (so I wouldn't be charged again), they canceled it early out of spite because I had complained about them not pausing my account when I was traveling for 3 months. Instead of showing remorse for canceling my membership, the manager tried to blame me, until I had email as proof. Even then, the manager, Darrell Szymanski was dismissive, rude, and completely lacking in empathy or consideration. A gym is supposed to be a place where members feel valued and respected--not taken advantage of. Unfortunately, this club falls far short. They were so condescending, it's was insulting.

All of the lockers are broken from people breaking into them, everything is absolutely DISGUSTING. It seriously looks as if no one has ever cleaned anything, especially the walls and floors. Equipment is broken for months on end, and there's always broken glass in the parking lot from where people have smashed windows to break into cars. It's a total nightmare. They also won't pay for heating/cooling, so in the summertime it's 90 degrees in there and your sweating as soon as you walk in, and in the winter it's 50 degrees.

On top of that, the temperature inside was uncomfortably cold, both on the floor and especially in the men's locker room. It made the entire visit unpleasant. I even have a photo that clearly shows the poor lighting conditions. Management really needs to address these issues -- lighting and temperature are basic comfort factors that shouldn't be overlooked. Until things improve, I'll be avoiding this location and reporting this to the Better Business Bureau. Do better.

I've been a member of Life Time Fitness for several years now and I have to say this location is…read more.. interesting. Located on the 9th floor of the One Chicago building near Magnificent Mile. To gain access into the club you can either walk in from the main lobby floor of One Chicago and take the elevator up to the 9th floor and that's where the club entrance is. There's only two elevators, during rush hour times there is often a line just to go up or down. You could take the stairs but who wants to climb 9 levels? That alone is a workout! Once you're inside the club there's 2 floor levels. The first floor has the check-in lobby, cafe, bar, locker rooms, rooftop pool and spa. The second level has all the workout equipment, cardio, and studio rooms for workout classes. I wasn't a big fan of the layout, it's kind of all over the place. Got a chance to take a Warrior Sculpt class with Taylor and it was awesome! One of the best sculpt classes I've ever had. I've seen some reviews complain about issues with the staff being rude but I honestly did not encounter any of that. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Oh and one last thing! This Life Time is open 24 hours! That's something I've never seen before, not even in NYC. That's a major win.

In April 2026 I had to file a police report because there was a man masturbating outside of the gym at 7 AM. After sharing this with the gym and the police, I was told that this has been reported to the gym multiple times. The gym had not taken any precautions to share this with the gym community or implement safety. I passed by the gym today, around a month after the incident and they have placed two very small paper panels on the massive glass windows. This gym as it stands does not have 24-hour or any security and is a liability to women. The staff is incredibly friendly, but the management is reckless and does not care about your safety.

There's sanitizing spray and paper towels to clean up and mirrors that surround the pod. You receive a code at the exact start time of your reservation by downloading the app. The app will send time check-ins to ensure you wrap up by the end of your reserved time. When you get through the first door, there are codes to get into your individual door. Getting in and out was seamless.
