In most places this would be pretty unremarkable. Being set along the eyesore that is Downham Road it's a major oasis. It's a small park, on the corner with Ufton Road. Mostly taken up with banks of trimmed bushes. I've got a feeling they've been trimming them for years with no real thought about design or making things look nice. The result probably does provide shelter for birds and maybe other wildlife, but is fairly barren. There's a few benches, and a nice tree.
On the opposite side of the road is a walled and fenced playing court. Again nothing exceptional. Though when I took the pics something a little unusual was going on: a gang of lads out for a game of polo. Playing on bikes not horses.
