The rates are great, the approvals have been infinite. I have been in contact a lot more often with AMOCO for different reasons over the past year and my experiences with over the phone services have gotten worse and worse. Attitude is half the battle, and I have been dealing with seemingly annoyed representatives but that isn't even the biggest problem, people have rough days, it happens. The knowledge has been spotty with certain situations and the lack of ability to transfer calls to the correct handlers has also been bad. There has to be more listening to help/troubleshoot instead of listening to correct. Like I said, the rates and approvals are great, always have been. But aside from the wait times, I just haven't been able to find success or at least timely success with my phone calls in the past year. Honestly if I didn't have so much of my financials tied in with AMOCO I would greatly consider leaving.

Lying and charging me fees I specifically asked about. When I was going to school in Galveston, I…read moreopened an account here. I also had one in Houston with my parents. I had to move to California for work. Before I moved, I called specifically to ask if I would get charged any fees on my account. I was told that I would not because I have another linked account that is over the daily balance. So I kept the account open so that I could move money between just in case. They never updated my California address, so I never received the statements. I logged in and realized that they had been charging me $10 a month for the last year. I've tried calling customer service but they said a local branch manager has to authorize any refunds on fees. I've been trying multiple times and haven't been able to get a hold of said bank manager. I'm a medical resident working sometimes 80 hours a week in California and the hours are really difficult to line up and speak to this person. I just want some of my money back because I've been lied to and it's really upsetting. This has been my worst banking experience.

Manager comes and talks down to you and then her employees. How could anyone work there when there talked to like that. Use to have nicer employees looks like she ran them away.
