I have been coming to this gym for the past two years... and safe to say they've definitley had their ups and downs. Most recently, this past year, they probably got some change in management, because the place has been amazing! I come here even for the boxing conditioning classes every week and never had a problem with the trainers. When it comes to injuries and fixing my sciatica, an issue I have had over the past five years, I recommend seeing Hope. UFC Fit definitely takes pride in hiring passionate and considerate trainers. Hope has done nothing but ensure that my priorities are met and always takes the time to hear me out and make me feel a lot better! As for their customer service, I always go to Chris for an issue, one of the operations manager of the gym. I have had concerns this past year in regards to the cleanliness of the establishment and he has always made sure my needs are met. Absolutely repulsive! Came here for a free trial and after one lap around the facility, I was too grossed out to even work out. Garbage, empty water bottles, and paper towels were scattered all over the weight room floor. The floor looks like it has never been mopped before and there is also visible dirt and dust everywhere on the mats. The women's locker room was also disgusting; I opened a locker to find an unidentifiable chalk/ salt looking substance scattered all over the locker! Too dirty to even leave my things in the locker. I visited UFC Fit in Wayne because I was really interested in their kids club, which seemed great. The gym itself looks nice and well-equipped, but my experience with the general manager, Bert, left me feeling very uncomfortable. After discussing prices, he kept changing the membership costs starting around $99/month, then dropping to $89, then $79 plus a $200 down payment and extra fees that were never clearly explained. It felt like he was just trying to make a sale instead of being upfront about what I'd actually be paying. When I said I needed time to think about it, he gave me his personal number and called me multiple times from both his phone and the gym, trying to convince me to sign up right away. He even offered a "special deal" of $300 for the whole year, which sounded too good to be true & after reading other Yelp reviews about billing and contract issues, I'm glad I didn't sign anything. The facilities are nice, but the high-pressure sales tactics and lack of transparency were huge red flags. If you're considering joining, I recommend reading the fine print carefully and taking your time before signing anything. read more

I have been going this gym since its open and most of the time half of Sauna, Steam room doesn't work and it's closed for repair. sauna room works but benches are broken and there are No one to maintain the gym. and now in this very cold winter hot water not working in shower room. I ask to speak to manager and always same answer Jason, or another manager is busy. I don't understand why no one care or management or owners doesn't care either. shame on the owners and the manager who is in charge. why owners doesn't check and do something. shame on you. read more

I joined specifically for the pool and it's been very frustrating the pool hasn't been running properly and there's no compensation for that I don't understand you know they're collecting my my fees but I can't use the pool the temperature is very cold the water now is very cloudy and they keep the pool keeps breaking down and they can leave us weeks even months without having a pool so my ratings for them is not going to be that good I mean at one time they kept it at a comfortable 86 degrees now it's probably closer to 80° or less and it that makes a big difference if you have arthritis read more

Several issues. One, they sometimes forget to open the doors on the weekend and have their members wait constantly. This has happened at least 5 times. 2nd, when you try to speak to corporate, they never call you nack or respond to your emails. Very inconsistent on opening hours. Hours of operation are not enforced. Bathrooms and lock area are not kept up well.

So I've been coming here a little over a year now and overall it's been pretty lame . It could be great because there's a lot of space and they have a lot of equipment. The locker room is always filthy littered with garbage and bottles and dirty paper towels while constantly smelling like** and piss. The hot tubs been out of commission for roughly 4 months along with the steam room and you never receive any callbacks or response to emails . Once they get your money you'll never hear from them again very very disappointing experience and most likely I'll be joining another facility when this year expires read more

paid two years upfront for a specific membership a year into it, they told us we no longer have that membership and they want me to pay an extra $40 a month , PER PARENT, for the child center. manger was nasty with my wife when she told her this and did not do anything to resolve the issue. the next day I was their with my wife talking to another manager as the female manager hid in the corner when she saw us. it seems like we were lied to by the sales rep when we signed up and they said well too bad since the sales rep is no longer with them. I asked for a refund for the remainder year and they laughed in my face as I told them they are breaching the contract. Lawyers will be involved soon. The gym itself , people have no resport for and the employees do absolutely nothing about. Weights left on the floor or the machines constantly. Dirty bathrooms and locker rooms. And the hot tub hasn't been working for well over a year if not more And it's completely drained. read more

I love UFC Wayne . I have never been to a gym where the trainers really care . They are so sincere and passionate about getting you in the best shape . Their classes are very beneficial. Lots of overpromise and hype during the pre-opening enrollment regarding amenities etc. Overall experience was unsatisfactory, so I canceled my membership in person in early November of 22' and was told that they had to bill me for one additional month as part of the cancellation requirement; the $53/month isn't cheap, but whatever... Well, it looks like even though they registered it in their system, they've continued to bill me. After going there in person to address it, they told me there was nothing that they could do, and one of the staff gave me a card to follow up for an update. It's ridiculous how a "national brand" can be this incapable of making it right with their customers and processing a simple refund. It leads me to believe that their agenda is nefarious, to say the least. A few friends have also canceled their membership here despite being the closest gym to them geographically. I can't blame them. I would never recommend anyone sign up here; it's a trap! read more

Do NOT go there! I was so excited to join this gym. After negotiating prices for 1h, basically they make up numbers as they go. I was ready to join it , but they won't let me read the contract . Won't give me paper to go over, Saying they don't know how to email it to me or print it. It's 2023 guys. It's been 3 weeks. Obviously they want you to sign something right on the spot. I read a lot of bad reviews, and i'm not sure what happened in the first month of opening here. but let me tell you- this gym is SO NICE. i'm obsessed. i'm a morning gym goer and it's so big in here that even if 30 people are here you don't have to wait for machines or feel like anyones in your space. everything is so clean and fresh. bathrooms are so pretty, nice showers, even have blow dryers!! 10/10 recommend this place. read more

I take Zumba at UFC. Been taking it for about a year now and I loved it since I started. I didn't think I would love the class considering I have 2 left feet. But the instructor Dorothy is very passionate about what she does. She loves dance and it shows. She also loves empowering women. In her class you know she wants the best for you. You will get your steps in and burn those calories. She also loves celebrating holidays with a Zumba party. She goes above and beyond in every class she teaches. Never a dull moment and if you haven't already. You have to check out her class. I promise you she does not disappoint. 10/10 read more

Where do I Start since I First started my journey I was very weak my whole life I have struggled in trying to lose weight and nothing was working for me. I   just felt like I was never going to get through this challenge I have face in my life  all the time kept going back and fort  and could not get passed have gone to different personal trainers.  Once I started Doing  Boxing classes at UFC  I felt a Great connection  with Joe  he was very supportive and motivated and I could just tell he had a passionate  of what he does here at ufc. He was always showing me on what I was doing wrong just in  my mind. I knew it would be great to have him  as my personal trainer.  So I decided to give it a try with him . JOE was not only super professional  and very helpful for any questions I had him  for 3 months I was always  looking fowatd with all of his training in doing pad works and circuit  training.  He was super knowledgeable and super helpful gave me alot pointers in how to lose weight what i should eat what I should not was always very responsive in his texts and always saying on what i was doing great  you can just tell He was not there for just the money or sugar coat you.  He really pushed me and I am very happy I hire him as .A personal  trainer he was super incredible and. Motivated me that now i went  from. 243 to 229 training. I have nothing but good things to say about this gym. The people who work their are great. They are friendly, social, helpful, motivating, and supportive. They know you by name and make you feel at home when you're there. The gym also has a recovery room. It's extra but it's worth the money for what you have access to. Manny was the person who registered me. The recovery room has a cryo machine, compression therapy, and massage chairs. They help you recover quickly and feel ready to come back to the gym the next day. I was never a big gym goer, but I now look forward to going because it's a great experience. I even won a 65 inch TV through a raffle. My friends, my daughter, and her friends have joined as well and we all love it. They have a pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna. Various classes from yoga and pilates to interval training, boxing, body pump, muscle maker, zumba, etc. The place is new and clean and big, but isn't overcrowded because it is big so you don't feel intimidated going. read more

Some places are just too big. I am looking for a smaller one that has martial arts as well as weights. My friends are recommending All-Star Taekwon-do in West Calwell. They say the instructors are excellent. One of them practices there, and he lost 35 pounds over 15 months and looks great -10 years younger. Equipment at the gym is great but cleanliness doesn't seem too much of a priority for this gym. I come early in the morning and there is paper towels all over the locker room floor and absolutely zero toilet paper in all of the stalls. Doesn't seem like they clean the gym floors either. Steam room hasn't worked since I've been going, apparently it needs a fuse but it's been 5 months already. Curious if the manager who seems never to be there ever walks around and checks out the gym. It's hard to find a gym in a good location, with a pool, and a daycare for kids, but it can be a lot cleaner, and some of the customer service policies are an absolute joke (the late fees because you changed your credit card? Really?) Can really benefits from better management. read more

If you can sign up somewhere else, Please do so, they will Invoice you to death, 1st, last and maintenance, then they charge For recovery you wont need, billing is 2 months out so now you're stuck. Then the icing on the Cake is if you try to downgrade, they charge you your sign up fee AGAIN! for changing. They are not 24 hours as advertised, The pool is not open, the bathrooms are disgusting and they only offer 10% of classes advertised. I'm pretty sure they too will go out of business soon. Wow, how is possible that a brand new gym could be so dirty? You reused most of the 24-hour fitness equipment and didn't bother to clean the floor or the equipment? The cardio equipment is outdated and not top of line. The men's bathroom had an overwhelming smell of urine and hasn't been cleaned since the prior owner. Seriously for a minimum membership of $59 a month you need to do a lot better! At the recruitment office you showed me pictures of a brand new gym instead I walked into a dirty recycled Gym. The asthetic is a copy cat Crunch Gym with UFC branding slapped onto it. However, the facility has more room and equipment then Crunch. The turf areas are huge. The heaviest dumbell goes up to 150lb. If you decide to do lap swim in the pool, UFC Fit's bathrooms are equipped with mini dryers to dry your swimming trunks. Awesome addition UFC Fit shot caller . As off 8/10/22, steam room and saunas are always broken. Get a 2nd membership at the YMCA if your #1 priority are those things I've mentioned. The only major differences between UFC Fit and a Crunch Gym are: bigger space, boxing room and wrestling room. UFC Fit doesn't only offers BJJ with GI as your "technique class". I've never taken it because UFC Fit holds the class hostage thru a $30 pay wall. Overall, its a big, spactious, and well equipped facility. Coach Chris Stone has been excellent! Before him I was very sedentary, but he has pushed me to become more consistent. He is literally the only reason I come to the gym every week, you wont regret it! He even reminds me to drink water and checks in on my diet, very supportive yet tough when needed! On Sept 9, 2022, at UFC Fit located at the Wayne Town Center 133 NJ-23, Wayne NJ, 07470. I was offered a 6 month trial membership for a one-time fee of $99.00 by an ASM named Gabriel. A month goes by and I notice on my credit card a recurring fee of $99.00. I called the billing company which told me I have to the corporate office which is a complete joke. So finally I went back to UFC Fit and waited three hours for ASM Gabriel who supposedly came in at ten in the morning but when I got there they came up with everything excuse in the book to cover for him. Gabriel finally showed up at 2:00 pm after the gym making me waste my entire day and yes I had to work double the next day to cover for the time I missed thanks to a gym that steals money and covers for their workers. I talked with ASM Gabriel multiple times and he assured me that this situation was taken care of. In fact, he never did a thing, he never contacted corporate for a refund he never canceled my membership, and HE DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Now thanks to this gym and the parent company, and other billing companies I have to cancel my credit card, file two disputes. This gym, this company is full of shady business practices and I want everyone to be aware of them. please don't waste your time, or your money on a gym with shady business practices there are plenty of other good gyms that won't put you through the aggravation of false claims, promises, and shady business practices. read more

Honestly it's a decent gym. However, there are a few things that I've noticed (employees not really knowing what's going on, bathroom doors that are stuck and unable to open, toilets over spilling when flushing). But I'm a normal guy who doesn't get bothered by these things. I am the type of guy that goes in, do what I have to do and leave. So, as someone who takes part in triathlons, this gym has good equipment so it's perfect for me. On August 20th 2022, I decided to ride my road bike to workout for obvious reasons (cardio, zero emissions), and when I got to the facility, an employee told me I would have to keep my bicycle by the door. For those of you who don't know, a tri-bike is rather expensive. When I asked if they could hold on to it inside while I workout she looked at me dead in the face and said, "sorry someone might trip and fall over your bike". I was blown away by this response because I wasn't suggesting they put my bike in the middle of the gym where people are constantly walking. And aside from the Gen Z population that goes here with their tripods to film themselves working out shirtless, there are no little kids running around that could potentially knock my bike over and get hurt at 9am on a Saturday. After letting this ridiculous lie settle in my head for a few seconds, I asked her if there was a janitor room or storage room where they could put my bike for an hour while I work out. Her response was no longer about my bike being a danger hazard to people at the gym. Her excuse changed to, "sorry we have zero space here". Which is another blatant lie because this is a massive facility that also has offices. Being looked at in the eyes and lied to is extremely disrespectful and frustrating. This has left a bitter taste and if it wasn't for my insurance fully paying for my membership, I'd honestly just cancel it. You would think that a facility with the "UFC" brand and logo would help accommodate all athletes, not just bodybuilders and Gen Z kids. As someone who works in Corporate America, I understand the importance of rules and regulations. However at this facility I see that the rules may not apply to some (like the people who have permanent lockers in the locker room, or the individual who parks his motorcycle on the side walk which is meant for pedestrians and not motorcycles). I can only imagine what would happen if someone falls and trips on that. I am aware that I am not special and that I shouldn't get any privileges others might not get. But they could've easily held on to my bike this one time since I had already biked 13 miles here as an exception. I guess not. Unfortunately, I will still come here and make the best of it read more
