I ordered shio ramen with pork belly and wheat noodles (you can get harussame or ho fun instead) and braised pork belly as a topping. We ordered fried squid and gyoza for the table. The gyoza dough was a little thicker than that of the other Taiwanese restaurants nearby, the filling rich in Chinese leeks and umami served unremarkable sweet and sour sauce on the side. The squid was crunchy and light without being too chewy. Unlike most restaurants in this area, the hot tea was not complimentary and they didn't have any green tea so we went with a cup of oolong each. There's something about the pepper in Taiwanese and Chinese restaurants. It's usually very strong although it doesn't overpower the flavors of the food. We sat upstairs as the few table downstairs were full. Pity the table next to us was very loud, with one guy practicing his monologue about whatever. Other than having a douche ranting for a soundtrack, our experience was pretty enjoyable.
