I had to come here on numerous occasions for blood work on the sixth floor in 2018 and again recently. The parking is free and I never have to drive around and around to find a spot. My only petty complaint is walking in the cold from my car to the elevator lobby. The associates are friendly and professional. After checking in I only have to wait 5 minutes or less to get the blood work done. It has only taken one try to get the blood sample and the technique has been as quick and painless as can be expected. The results are are usually available in 2 days and can be viewed on my online account. Just off of the lobby is a pharmacy that can be used to pick up your medications making it a one stop visit for you. I go to my own outside pharmacy and have not tried the one here. This is also where the endocrinologist doctor's office is l go to is located. Sometimes the front office staff and or nurses are having bad days, but my Dr, Kay Johnson is always consistent with me. She listens and never has one foot out the door. On occasion I have been a little concerned with the lack of a thorough exam (such as listening to my heart) but overall i've received excellent care whether sick or routine visit. The building itself includes a lab, orthopedist and some other specialists so it is essentially a one stop shop. It is always clean and well organized. There is a large parking lot, but getting in and out can be a little tough on busy Montgomery Rd. Added bonus, they now have a nice online portal where you can communicate, have virtual visits, and view bloodwork or invoices.

I like that's it's close to work and home, my doctor is great, and the lab on-site makes it easy to get an annual physical with blood work done in one visit. My insurance requires some weird paperwork and this office has been really accommodating to get me the documentation I need. And I've always been able to get in for an emergency appointment when needed. The biggest downside during normal times: While they will take you back to get weighed and put you in an exam room really fast, I always end up waiting a long time in the exam room. There are more cons now during COVID, most notable being that the lab is not open. When I went for my annual physical three different people tried to take my blood and couldn't get a vein. I had to go to a separate, much busier Mercy facility the following day which was absolutely not my first choice in the middle of a pandemic. I really don't get the logic here--why close the lab? You're making patients expose themselves more by not having this service on site anymore. Also, the woman who checked me in was not wearing a mask. She was behind plexiglass, but there are holes in it for paperwork and the temperature check, and also, just, really? Not something I anticipated facing walking into a healthcare facility.

Paperwork was a breeze and I only waited around 10 minutes before I was in. I was THOROUGHLY tested and treated here. I have been to a few different urgent cares before and some of them write you a script for antibiotics after seeing you for literally 2 minutes (which is SCARY). I got a full exam from a real nurse here and great advice. I was in the exam room for probably 20-30 minutes while they tested everything including my vision! I was thrilled to see this kind of personalized attention. Not to mention how incredibly friendly everyone working here was on a SUNDAY. I'm still in shock. Super nice. Highly recommend. I went in to urgent care today 1/9 after experiencing symptoms extremely common with bronchitis or…read moresome type of upper respiratory infection. I am a self pay patient so it takes alot for me to get myself to a dr. But when I went 4 days with no symptom relief and my mucus turning a bright green I figured I may need an antibiotic. I checked in as normal, I was called back pretty quickly and even though It costs me $150 just to be seen I was at ease to know I would be leaving with some relief. Nurse took my heart rate and bp, and asked about my symptoms. Dr came in and the only follow up question was "are you on birth control?" I said no. Haven't been in years. She then proceededs to do no swabs, no covid test, no bloodwork, no chest xray and tells me i need to go to the emergency room to rule out a clot! we went from zero to 100. Let's not rule out influenza or infectio. But let's make you spend potentially thousands of dollars on a ct scan for a blood clot!! All because I had a stage one elevation in blood pressure. Needless to say, I took my chances and left without going to the er. I think the 4 day embolism would have taken me by now. And left with no medicine or diagnosis!

My appointment was preventive and had I known I'd be charged, I would have canceled and found a different doctor. Always be sure to call your insurance prior to any doctor appointments. I've learned the websites aren't always up to date and the office staff can mislead you.
