I was holding a Dunkin Donuts cup inside the store and the guard rudely told me to leave my drink by the door which I obliged (it's basically a rack that held bags for sale and the cup was placed BEHIND the bags). When my hubby fell in line to pay for the items, I went ahead and retrieved my drink and stood near the exit. I was NOT drinking, and the cup was sealed closw. The security guard then proceeded to harass me and told me to move beside the door and kept blabbing about the no drinking policy posted on the wall. I was NOT DRINKING, I was HOLDING a drink. Oh my goodness, this really got me so upset that I was ready to tell my husband to leave more than $100+ worth of items behind. Good thing my husband kept his cool and preceded to speak with one of the store managers. The shop has a lot of good deals (that's why I've been shopping here for years) and almost all employees are nice and helpful but man.... This security guard wins worst employee of the month.

For this hood, they're usually Indian / Korean run, but this one is exclusively Chinese and very limited staffing. This leads to messier than usual aisles and harder to find items, but the folks that are usually more than willing to help people locate what they need. The Chinese woman at the counter is sharp and usually alone, save for the lone helper in the back. inventory wise, the selection is pretty typical but as expected: varied. From generic greeting cards to random glassware or pet food to NYC branded hats for the tourists, the store really does have a little bit of everything. I wouldn't go as far as expecting to find gems or items of high value here, but I would say that it should meet everyone's (generic) needs. Unless your total value exceeds $15, this place is strictly cash only. They do have an ATM on site, but it's better to come with some dollars and a quick idea of what you need.
