This is how i want to be welcomed to a bank, i felt like i should be there and that it was safe and comfortable. They made us feel welcomed hands down, right away saying hi, asking us if we needed anything; and welcoming us. I forgot my mask and I asked if they had any and she was like yes of course here you go, and I felt happy knowing that they had mask for their customers. We both were waiting for a customer service agent to come take us, and I had Janet, she was amazing, very friendly, understanding, she explained everything to me and on things worked and told me some things on how to better myself. She definitely made me feel safe and loved. She was asking me how i was doing, where I was from, i was asking her questions, we had a great conversation like we were family or something and that right there made me love this bank and branch so much more, I will definitely be back and will definitely be coming to Janet, anytime i need help or advice. She even told me she will always be their to assist me and help me with anything that she can. One comment...the new branch on Rainbow in Las Vegas the curb at the drive thru ATM is difficult to navigate. The curb guide is a little too sharp (and I don't have a large car). Investing in making that turn a little easier would be a good thing. America First Credit Union is my FIRST choice with a credit union because of the people that work there.

I never thought I'd buy a home, but when I approached several lenders I saw that the interest rates were low and I could actually afford a small home. That being said, NO lenders could beat Bank of Utah. I tried credit unions and other companies but Bank of Utah still came on top. The best part was that were able to offer a conventional mortgage while others only offered FHA. Mike Medsker was my agent and though he works in Ogden he came over to meet me in a Salt Lake branch. Not even the Salt Lake offices with other lenders were willing to make the effort to see me. All my calls were returned, and emails were responded within a day, (usually hours). At closing I was worried I'd be hit with a surprise fee but it actually cost roughly $400 less than what I was quoted. Could not be happier and will continue to bank with Bank of Utah.

Check for $5.43 - They marked MY account fraudulent because a potential company that was going to…read morehire me sent ME a check that was fraudulent & I used mobile banking now they won't clear it for me to use mobile deposits so I have to drive to a location every time, wait in line, wait for them to CALL the security team, clear the check, then they get back to me and make the deposit. Even if the check is $5. It's not protecting me, it's punishing me for something someone has already done. It's my credit union treating me like a criminal. It takes 20 min. to deposit a check!!! If I want to make a regular deposit into my OWN account, it takes the same amount of time, 20 min. I've now been on hold just to ask a question for 10 min and 45 sec. They say they're protecting you, it's not about you, it's about them. There isn't a grace period. They told me Friday that they do the same thing to 'at risk' elderly, etc. How hard are they making their lives I wonder? I'm tech savvy and educated! This is and has been a nightmare for the past 5 months and they still haven't lifted or changed anything. I'm switching banks. I've been with Goldenwest since age 13 & I'm 42. I've referred family to them who use them today. I've referred people to them for home loans, car loans, etc. used them myself... for it to take 20 min to do a deposit is ridiculous. For me to be cutoff from mobile deposits from being scammed once is ridiculous. They're worried about them.
