The Operations Manager, Missy was absolutely disgustingly idiotic with cashing the check. I had my sons, death certificate, which is all I needed when I closed the account in 2018. The poor teller, Jennifer was so apologetic. I finally walked out without cashing the check. This is the reason why I will never to business with Wells Fargo!

Over the years I've had the misfortune of having to deal with banks like Chase, Wells Fargo, US…read moreBank Etc., that charged you a fee for everything. I'm surprised they didn't charge you a fee to open the door and walk inside. When I finally got fed up with all of that I decided to switch to a credit union. The first credit union that I joined which I shall not name here started out as a really good institution. Over the years however that particular credit union deteriorated into something that was more like a bank leaving me frustrated once again looking for solutions. I finally stumbled upon 1st community credit union. Immediately I began to notice a difference in the way I was treated with dignity, civility and respect. Not only did 1st community credit union care about saving me money but they were actually interested in helping me to invest and make more money. This was a big change for me. I then convinced my parents to switch over and then my siblings and finally my friends. Since that time all those years ago there's been an occasional bobble here and there but it was always resolved quickly and efficiently. Nobody's perfect. That includes organizations. But as organizations go, I would have to definitely say that 1st community credit union strives harder than any institution I have seen in the past to act responsibly with kindness and respect to the people they serve. That puts them ahead of all the rest. And, you know who I am referring to. I don't need to list all of them. If you're looking for an institution to park your funds in I don't think that you could do much better than 1st Community Credit Union. One thing I can also say for certain about them is that their rates of return on CDs are extremely competitive. If however you are not an investor and you just want a simple, checking account or savings account you really should consider them.

! BAD BANK ! BAD SERVICE ! ZERO STARS !…read more My husband and I tried to close our account twice and were lied to both times with unauthorized charges and overcharges. During our first visit, we tried to close the account since we no longer needed it and found unauthorized charges that we didn't make. The manager removed the charges but didn't close our account as we asked which created more unauthorized charges. We stopped by again and spoke with a different manager who refused to refund us or help freeze the account. She told us that it was impossible to freeze our account--LIE! This bank takes advantage of people--especially people of color. They lied about closing our account. They lied about not being able to freeze our account to stop unauthorized charges. We decided to visit another Wells Fargo located on Barnes road in Beaverton--BEST service ever! The manager, Matthew Parsons, immediately helped us without any problems freezing our account so that there would be no further charges. DO NOT VISIT THIS WELLS FARGO BANK!

I'll be forever grateful to the decision makers at Bank of America who made me whole again! Thank you for helping me. I don't know if the thieves were caught, but my savings account was restored and I'm able to breathe easily again. My BofA get 5 stars out of 5 stars from me!
