So glad we found this spot. We were in Prague for a couple of nights, visiting the city. We were hoping to find some local food and drinks, but were a bit "intimidated" by the hotel restaurants. There are just so many restaurants in Prague for you to choose! We were walking around the area by our hotel (Hotel City Club) and we found this spot that seemed pretty lively. They had a menu posted at their entrance which we decided to try.
Wow. I can't even begin to express to you how much bang-for-the-buck you get for the meal. The beer (Gambrinus typical pils) was good and cheap. We got the pork "ribs" and goulash (two of menu items listed as traditional foods) which came in very large servings. The food was great.
It's a very lively spot, which I think was patronized by a lot of locals (vs. tourists), which made the setting more attractive to us. They had a live band at the time which played Czech music. All together a great experience and time. read more
