Booked online, paid and scheduled my pickup…read more Used the link texted to me to upload all of my information requested. I arrived at the store and it was PACKED beyond belief. Michael got everyone expedited to the best of his ability- being he was the only one in the toes for 75% of my wait. Within 10 mins I was done inside. I will preface that 10 mins. Seems like forever, but this line was out the door and wrapped around the front entrance. Most customers were complaining. Once outside there was 1 single employee helping everyone-which is an unrealistic request of him. The owner should be ashamed for setting their staff up to fail like this. This poor guy had at least 5-6 people waiting for him for hookups. He hustled to hook everyone up and document each one with pictures. With that being said- the entire staff on my pick up date was beyond apologetic for the wait and worked diligently the entire time. Rental went without issue. On my return date I was instructed that 0700 was the opening time for this location. I arrived at 0708. Once again owners/management have set their employees up for failure. Severely understaffed- A female employee, which I did not catch her name, checked me in. Very pleasant and attentive to her normal check list of "to do's". A gentleman came over by the name of Arashio(which I have probably butchered the spelling) he guided me to my drop off point and unhooked the trailer. Very pleasant gentleman and went above and beyond to not only help me, but also another customer that had already been checked in and having issues with learning the truck. This has to be one of the busiest U-Haul rental locations in Palm Beach County. I drive by it daily and there is always a packed parking lot. Owners/management need to work harder at making this a better location. The reviews are horrible!!!! I took the time to write this today as my experience with the staff was amazing each time. They are working against incredible odds and unrealistic expectations. Management has found great employees- start treating them better, so they can give your customers better service.

"I made a reservation a week in advance to ensure everything would be ready. When I arrived, the…read moremanager told me there were no trucks available. She then tried to raise the rate to $100 a day, even though U-Haul's own website clearly showed $47.50 a day. When I pointed that out, she shrugged, claimed she didn't know anything about it, and then disappeared into the back office and never returned. To make matters worse, she used the excuse that 'U-Haul reservations aren't guaranteed if the last person doesn't return on time.' That may be true in some cases, but U-Haul's own policy says customers are supposed to be helped and offered $50 if the reservation can't be met. At the very least, she could have called me the day before to warn me there was no truck, instead of letting me waste time showing up. What makes this even more unacceptable is that I flew in from out of state for this move, and my friends also flew in to help me. Because of this failure, we all lost a full day, extra money, and a ton of time. I had to drive further out to another location, and even then I couldn't get a truck until late afternoon. This location is unprofessional, dishonest with pricing, and doesn't respect reservations or customers' time. U-Haul needs to address this kind of treatment immediately

Chico, the manager that answered the phone, asked where I was and where I wanted the car towed. I told him and he gave me a price of $175. I said fine, ok. He dispatched the call to a driver. Driver calls me screaming at the top of his lungs, "how many miles to the place where you want to be towed?" I said sir I don't know I'm stranded in the middle of the road. I gave you the address. He says "well look it up in your phone because I think the price should be much higher." Then he starts telling me how he makes commissions on tows and he wants to make sure it's enough money etc.... I hung up on him mid sentence and called another tow company. A few minutes later this rude driver calls me back and says he's on the way. While I'm on the phone with him the other driver from the other tow company showed up and politely got me towed from the street. I would never recommend this company. He worked very hard to find a carrier that was within my price range which, at this time, with gas prices escalating, was no small feat. When I'd call with a question and leave a message for him, he was very quick at returning the call. He kept in close contact not only before the carrier was found, but also until they delivered my car. I couldn't have asked for better service and highly recommend his company.
