Stumbled upon this place totally by accident one evening, and was pleasantly surprised by the amazing food that I was served!
It's a cozy setting, and was not very busy when I arrived, however there were definitely guests coming and going throughout my visit.
When I sat down, I was brought some bread with butter, and I ordered a hot apple drink. The apple drink was soooo good! I was not aware that I would be charged for the bread until after the meal ended, so I was disappointed that this is an extra charge on the bill. It was decent bread though!
The menu was a little pricier than other places, but it is in a touristy part of the city, so I figured it was really just a standard price! I decided to go with the Beef goulash with a side of sauerkraut. The food arrived pretty soon which was nice, and I was so delighted with my dish. The beef was amazing, so juicy and tender, while the soup base was incredibly flavorful. I didn't want it to end!! The side of sauerkraut was also very nice and flavorful, as well as plentiful!
I would definitely eat here again, and it is worth finding among the hidden streets! I would say it would be nice that they make it very clear about the additional service charge for the bread etc. though so that they don't surprise dinner guests such as myself, but the food is so good overall! read more
