The process of getting in was a very well streamlined process. Please note that while I was able to bring in a bottle of water, I had to throw away the cap. Finding my seat was very easy as there were signs posted everywhere. The place was rocking when France equalized at 3-3. Unfortunately, the host team eventually lost to Spain in extra time. One usher even sat with us and gave play by play commentary ( he just hopped up to do his volunteer thing when someone looked lost). Pierre Coubertin was a French fencer who founded the Olympic Games. Fencing is definitely a smaller sport compared to soccer, but to know that the founder of the Olympics was a fencer is really great.

It's an older club so the bathrooms are not brand new but they are not bad - I have not tried the showers. You need to bring your own lock for the lockers. There is also a bar for some after-match drinks. It costs 90 euros to get a field for 1 hour. I like having the field indoors for winter games but it could be nice in the spring and summer playing outside given the heat that will probably impact an indoor place like Le Five. I would chose Le Five over this place because it is newer and indoors but this place does have that "good old boy" club feel. But in terms of experience - it's pretty similar. However, I think getting a reservation is more difficult here - probably it is next to La Defense and because Le Five and the other club north of Paris are both in the Ghetto...

It is 12:30 am here in Paris and we are jazzed, pumped, mesmerized and absolutely electrified by what transpired at the French Open here in Roland Garros. The world's two top ranked players, Sinner from Italy and Alcaraz from Spain played a record 329 minutes of breathtaking and heart pounding tennis. Sinner had the match and title won at 189 minutes with 3 match points, but the gritty 22 year old Spaniard ( May 5, 2003) exhibited a level of mental toughness, confidence, belief, knowingness, calm, tenacity, skills, stamina and endurance rarely seen before. Down by 2 sets, he fought back saving those 3 match points came back and won the last 3 sets and the Championship. Never has there been a spectacle like this at this venue in 126 years. An NFL Super Bowl Champ with the Rams and former NY Giant OBJ was next to us in the suite yelling, jumping and pumping his fist. 15,347 spectators were treated to an amazing spectacle. Just 29 hours prior another historic moment came when our very own Coco Gauff battled back from 1 set down and beat the cocky and overconfident Aryana Sabalenka to claim the Women's singles title. I state cocky and overconfident because of Sabalenka's comments and the identical outcome when American Madison Keys beat her in the Australian Open final Melbourne just 135 days ago. Ray Ray was right there as well with his team high fiving and screaming. This was special. This was a rare treat. First time in Roland Garros history where two finalists were born in the 21st century. The only tournament on clay( higher bounce, slower pace) with 7 rounds of best of 5 for the Men's Championship over 2 weeks makes this one of the most physically demanding. tournaments in tennis. This was a powerful emotional experience for me as well. I witnessed our human capacity for resilience, determination and the thrill of competition. The best part - 4 and 5 year olds in Japan, Vietnam, India, Afghanistan, Greece, Morocco, Kenya, Spain, Italy, France, the UK, Canada, the US, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Panama, Hawaii, Australia, Tahiti, New Zealand, the Philippines and all over just grabbed their little tennis racquets, the green ball and are practicing using that one wall in their compound and neighborhood. Our future! Roland Garros - another big reason why I do love Paris.

It was good, but I'd say it wasn't crazy strong. My wife got the Miami Vice Negroni and we both thought it was meh. Being as you're in Montmartre, there are plenty of bars to visit. I'd definitely make Dirty Dick a spot to visit if you're doing a crawl.

We knew we had to come back our last night and did so! I ordered the Miami Vice Negroni and it was a complex drink. I still can't determine if I liked it or didn't. I got different sweet and bitter notes each sip. My husband got the extra grog strength drink and it was a hit! Do yourself a favor and come here! You won't regret the slight deviation from wine and champagne and enjoy the reprieve!
