Even the word tapas cannot dissuade me from that! The tagliatelle with beef and a bit spicy tomatoe sauce was almost perfect: roasted pine seeds, aromatic tomatoes and pasta al dente! Tagliatelle usually turns cooking pasta into an awful challenge. Just the two types of cheese were hiding their flavours successfully from me. A bit saddening for a cheese lover like me. But since I could finish each and every piece of beef - very unusual for me ... always find a chunk of fat to put aside - would make me return anytime.

We walked up to the bar and asked the man there for the most traditionally Finnish item on the menu. He said that Finland didn't actually have that many unique dishes, but that he recommended a dish called fried vendace. It was essentially a basket full of small whole freshwater whitefish, which are fried and eaten whole. Our server suggested garlic sauce or blue cheese sauce for dipping, and we opted for garlic sauce. If you're not accustomed to it, dipping and eating an entire (albeti small) fish can be a little off-putting. But despite my initial squeamishness, we discovered that it was delicious! The basket could easily have fed 4 people though - it looked like an appetizer but we both were full and still had quite a bit left. The basket of fried fish, an apple cider, and a beer cost us €20. While we were eating the man came up to us and said that he had forgotten to tell us that coffee and tea are included - excellent customer service! So we finished our food and drinks and had coffee, accompanied by tiny but delicious little chocolate chip biscuits. It was an allover pleasant experience. We chatted with the man at the bar for a while and he was very friendly and wished us a pleasant journey and stay. The food was great, the drinks were great, the atmosphere was great, and it's on a boat in Turku. Perfect!

Both were good and the risotto portion was huge. Got a table without booking within fifteen minutes but you might want to make a reservation in advance. Worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood!

The food is great, service is very good by Finnish standards. I walked in with a friend of mine over the DBTL weekend, without a booking. They were very helpful and accommodating, getting us a table in a nearly full restaurant within a few minutes. I would say that booking is a better way to go here though, as it is a popular place to eat. Wine selection is great, and they have a large selection of RED, White and Sparkling available 'by the glass' too. Which is a good thing that is often overlooked at many establishments.

Thin-crust pizza stripped down to the basics: Tomato & mozzarella. And always a good barometer of how "Italian" the food really is. Verdict? Nothing special, just OK. Hate to say it, but I could have mistaken it for supermarket pizza. - My friend's pizza, covered with salad greens and ham, looked more appetizing. - My other friend's pasta dish (cannelloni, maybe) looked less than appetizing. Like it was covered with hardened, burnt cheese. Wait staff was nice enough. Nothing out of the ordinary. On the whole, I'd really give this place 2 1/2 stars.
