I've had chronic lower back pain and discomforts for many years. When I stand, my lower back…read morestiffens and it was preventing me from standing completely straight. I was always leaning forward a little. When I lay down on my back, I automatically curl my knee up and stretch it to the other side of my body for relief. Standing for 15 minutes begin to feel like all the upper body weight was crushing my lower back. I don't want to live the rest of my life like this. I went to see Dr. Anthony Chau at City Spine Center. He took x-rays and evaluated me fully. The x-rays showed two compressed discs. He recommended me to set aside M-W-F for two months to treat each disc separately by using a spinal decompression machine to safely stretch my spine at a specific angle to allow nutrients and fluids into the disc to relieve some of the compression. My first treatment was instant gratification. The stretching gave me relief and it felt great! Dr. Chau follows up the treatment with neck and full spine adjustments every week which compliments the decompression from the machine. I felt better and better after each visit with these two combined treatments. When I was done with my second disc treatment, I felt 85% better. I was very happy with the outcome. That means 85% less pain. Although the outcome wasn't 100%, it was a huge improvement. Then around one month later, I noticed my back was completely freed! No more discomfort whatsoever. All straightened. Like new. I think it took a few weeks for my spine to recalibrate from all the regular treatments. Now the treatment had stopped, the spine took some time to settle. This is just my theory. How else can I explain from having chronic pain for a long time to no more pain and discomfort after my treatments. It has been nearly three years since I had my treatments as of this writing and my back is still like new. If you have a back problem, see a chiropractor right away. This is their specialty. Although you don't know the outcome, but it's worth trying. Like any medicine and treatments, they don't always work for everybody, but it's worth trying. Otherwise you remain in pain and you will never know unless you try. The question is which chiropractor do you see? For that, recommendations are always the best. Since I have a long term fix, I am very happy to recommend Dr. Anthony Chau. Good luck to you on your way to heal.

When it does it's more than "take two ibuprofen" kind of pain. So every time this happens I've basically found a new chiro and this time was no different. I google searched and Jenny had good reviews and she was literally up the block (insert Jenny from the block reference). In the past, I've generally gone to a chiropractor and it takes 5 or 6 sessions to see results but I went from "this hurts too much to walk a mile" to "good enough to work out" in two sessions. Of course, your results may vary, but I was impressed. I'll be going back in the future and maybe if I treat the small stuff the big stuff will never happen.

So here is how I ended up at Dr. Susan Green's office; I jumped off a cliff into a pond of water…read more(yeah, I know) and hurt my lower back. I was in such horrible pain for the first week, but did not seek any medical help (I hate going to the doctor). I eventually started feeling better, but even after two months, I still didn't feel like my usual self. I finally bit the bullet and found Dr. Green on yelp. This was my first time going to a chiropractor and I'm so glad I found someone so kind, experienced and knowledgeable. I went for a consultation and 3 followup sessions. After every session, I always felt the improvement. I can say with confidence that I feel 100% better after my last session with Dr. Green. She really made a difference and fixed my back. I am so grateful for her work and wish I went earlier (lesson for next time, but hope there is no next time). You start off with a one hour consultation and follow up sessions are thirty minutes after that. She takes medical insurance. The office is called Cloud Rest Healing which I believe is shared with a few other practitioners. It is a nice little gem in the Outter Sunset. If you are looking for a chiropractor, come find Dr. Green! Trust me, she knows what she's doing!

A bit of background is necessary to put this whole thing into context: Dr. Green was the EIGHTH…read more(that's right 8th) person I saw about my problem. I have been to 2 acupuncturists, 3 MDs (including a fun-times epidural), 1 physical therapist, and one other chiropractor, not to mention countless massage therapists, before I finally found Dr. Green (through a co-worker's recommendation). I have been in horrible chronic pain for almost a year at this point: the kind of pain that is highly unfortunate because it prevents you from being able to sit, thus ruining your life (who knew we spent most of our time sitting on our bums anyways?). I could tell right from the beginning that unlike all the other people I've seen before, Dr. Green actually takes a holistic approach to solving the problem. She was immediately able to zero in on several possible causes of my overall "dysfunction" and commenced treatment the same day. And when I say "treatment," I mean she actually spends the entire half an hour that you're in her office manipulating your muscles/joints. She has amazing state of the art equipment, which I have not seen other practitioners use, but which I found especially helpful for untangling all the knots in my muscles. Dr. Green spends a lot of time manipulating soft tissue, so if you've had chiropractic treatment before, this is likely different (and far more pleasant). Plus, it doesn't hurt that she's generally just an extremely pleasant person who genuinely cares about her patients and listens to them. To sum up: I've been seeing Dr. Green for about 2.5 months now and I've been steadily getting better with each visit. I could see improvement after the 2nd visit, which was amazing, given the fact that I've been in constant pain for a year. She has literally given me my life back and I can't thank her enough. (This review is a start!)
