The person who came out was considerate, he took his shoes off, asked questions about our dog, and was quite friendly. We showed him what we wanted done and informed him of what we were looking at. He explained what he'd need to do, but wouldn't provide an estimate. He did become more and more distant as he walked through the house. He wouldn't provide us with a quote until we removed the vanities, but if we removed the vanities we'd be out of having a sink to deal with. That being said, he was frank about certain areas that needed to be chipped out and resurfaced before even painting. He mentioned that he has a minimum per day amount and a price per hour after that. All in all, if he was willing to even ballpark a figure, we could have known if we could hire him or not. He just didn't seem that he was interested in doing so. I'm sure he'd be great for other people with much bigger projects.

After moving to the area I contacted Chris to ask for advice about removing a stubborn wallpaper border. I informed him over the phone that I was struggling getting it off and needed advice--well he went above and beyond. Chris came over to take a peek and offered me amazing advice. He gave me detailed instructions what to do. He did not expect anything in return. I was so impressed with his kindness to simply help, I decided to hire him to paint some areas in our home. My husband and I feel so blessed to have met and hired Just the Paint Man. I just wanted people to know about our amazing experience with Chris. Not only is he the nicest guy ever, but he is a fantastic painter. Thank you, Chris for everything.

My client and I were extremely happy with the entire process from estimate to completion. Mike's bid came in several thousands of dollars less than another painting company in Madison despite the fact they used top of the line paint with excellent craftsmanship and professionalism. I would be more than happy to talk to any prospective clients of Megna Painting regarding their work. Thank you Mike and the crew for your excellent work and for being such great people. We recently hired Megna Painting to paint the exterior of our house. Before hiring Megna we met…read morewith six other companies who met with us and provided quotes. After reviewing the quotes and meeting with each company, it was very clear that Megna was the best choice. First, Mike Megna met with us personally and provided some excellent suggestions to bring value to the project without pushing the cost upward. Second, Megna clearly outlined the scope of work, what is included and what is not. They included more scope than the other companies and their quote was one of the two lowest in cost. There was no aggressive sales push, just a request to let them know if we have any questions. As the project start date approached Mike Megna met with us personally to provide guidance in color and materials selections. He gently challenged us on some color choices which, in retrospect, made the project so much better than it would have been without his input. He also provided us a clear understanding of what to expect during the project, and started the project as scheduled/promised. Megna's crew was exceptional! They were super friendly and did an excellent job of prepping for the actual painting. They masked areas not receiving paint (stone facace/windows/etc) very well and made extra efforts to protect our other property in the vicinity. Mike Megna stopped by often to check on progress and to make sure we were happy with how things were going. The project turned out beautifully! The painters did excellent work that exceeded our expectations. They left the site spotless and were very focused on their attention to detail. We highly recommend Megna Painting and, based on our fantastic experience, have already committed to hiring them to do some interior painting for us. It is so refreshing to see a company that: is very competitive in pricing, provides such a high level of quality in their work, exceeds what is expected by the customer, provides a high level of personal involvement by the owner of the company, and does not "nickle and dime" the customer with change orders and scope creep. On top of all of this, Mike Megna is a great person and a delight to work with. Extremely happy with our choice!
