Keep in mind, unlike the Julia Roberts character, I'm not a hooker...I'm actually very well educated and have a dream job. From the second I stepped foot in the door, I was treated like I was interrupting a stem cell transplant. Like the sales clerks were in the middle of some heroic life save procedure and I had the audacity to interrupt them. As they flipped through their catalog and looked over their readers at me with distain dripping from their faces, I realized I had had come to the wrong store in which to "shop local". (According to the big sign on the door, they'd like you to believe they want you to "shop local". Not so much. They flat out told me to go to Amazon.) Here's the deal. They sell light fixtures. They do not cure cancer. It's lighting. Not doing open heart surgery. Selling wires, shiny stuff and light bulbs. Heroes? Elite world changers? Nobel prize winners? Nope. Rude sales women. Seriously. Save yourself the frustration and go to Amazon. Or Restoration Hardware. Or, Menards for the love! Just DO NOT BOTHER THESE PEOPLE. You are not worth their precious time or attention. They must be about the daunting task of....ummm...not saving lives.
