Finally a great new addition to Krog Street Market and it's right off the Atlanta Beltline! Of all the restaurants inside Krog, this place catches my eye the most. I've been to their other locations across Atlanta, but this one is a tad bit closer for me. I will always order the same things, but I've already tried majority of all the things they have on the menu. For appetizers I recommend shrimp rolls, cheese rolls, curry puffs, and kanom jeep (dumplings). The dumplings do take a while longer to cook since they have to steam it. At least you know everything is fresh made to order and not sitting around being kept warm. The entrees I love the most and recommend would be their tofu pad see ew, basil chicken with rice, Thai style fried rice, and Penang curry beef served with rice. Everything is packed full of flavor. They definitely do not play when it comes to spice levels, so beware if you're not into spicy foods, you can always ask to see if they can accommodate no spice. But what's Thai food if there is no spice?! I love their Thai tea drink since it's just a nice touch of sweetness after eating. Would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area.

Delicious Thai food. The nice young lady who took my order made sure to ask me if I could eat medium spicy food which I can. They only offered medium spicy or no spicy. I definitely could taste the spiciness but was just right. The papaya salad tasted very fresh and loved the flavor. Also enjoyed the basil chicken. Will run you around $28 for this combination. Would come back in a heartbeat.

The restaurant has about three tables that can seat six people each, there is a bar area with a few stools, and also a several stools along the wall in the back. You place your order and pay, you're given a buzzer and when your food is ready you pick up your food. The service was just okay during my recent visit. Everyone appeared to be a little distracted, tired or standoffish. It was much different than past experiences. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. I have never had a bad meal here. The only thing was our main entrees were spicier than we thought they would be. We requested medium and this wasn't our first time eating here but it was extremely spicier than expected which leads me to believe they made a mistake. Poor Calvin's looked so interesting and when I sent it to my colleague, they were very interested. We took a quick Lyft ride from the conference center. What a cute restaurant! It's cozy and the space is utilized so efficiently. The staff were so warm and welcoming as well as attentive. Our lovely waitress provided vivid descriptions of each of the dishes that we either asked about or ordered, which made us even more excited to receive our meal! We started with the beignets (without the crab dip; it was supplemented with pimento cheese). They were savory and delicious, with I think pecorino cheese and balsamic glaze. It came with 4 generously sized beignets and we big had to stop after one to leave room for our meal! For entrees, my colleague got the seafood curry and I got the drunken noodles with tofu. Both of these dishes were very generous portions and quite spicy! The tofu in the drunken noodles had a very light (tempura?) batter with a sort of Chinese salt and pepper seasoning. My colleague's seafood curry came with a HUGE lobster tail, lots of mussels and other seafood plus a side of green (!) rice. Everything was so good. We had leftovers to take with us to the hotel. Highly recommend checking out Poor Calvin's if you get the chance!

I opted for one of their specials which was a lamb meatloaf w/ gravy ontop and it came with a lobster tail and mashed potatoes for $55. The meatloaf seem to have more filler in it and I could barely taste the lamb. The sauce ontop was okay. The mashed potatoes were bland. The best thing was the lobster tail. I got the suspension cake which was highly raved about according to the reviews. It was good but not the best dessert I've ever had. It's a HUGE slice of cake so if you order it, share it with others or take it home. I split it between the 3 of us and we still couldn't finish it. Service was great and the host was kind enough to save me a table. They get BUSY the moment they open the door, so if you don't have reservations, get there 15 minutes prior to opening. It's hard to get in there. Would I'd come back? Eh. I can't say that I was that impressed or curious enough to try anything else. It is a bit pricey but not so unaffordable.. come check l it out for yourself.
