We knew we had to check them out. What sealed the deal for us was that they are not only work friends, but personal friends with the photographer we already booked (Dream Weaver Photos). We knew it would be important to book vendors that worked well together, so a husband and wife team who are friends with the photographer just made sense. We went into the meetings with Jeff and Cindy already with the expectation of hiring them both. While typically day of coordinators don't really help with booking other vendors, Cindy was able to offer her professional insights on hair and make up, florals, and even hotel blocks. She was responsive to every email for a full year before our wedding, and we had a thorough sit down meeting a month before the wedding. The week of, there were many frantic calls and texts to Cindy with things that seemed to be the end of the world to me, the bride, but were minor details in her eyes. At least that's how she made me feel while she calmed me down. The day before the wedding, we had an emergency and most of my family missed our rehearsal. She continued with the rehearsal with who was there, and the day of found those missing family members and talked to them about what they needed to do. Melanie came as her assistant. They were on time and had everything set up in what felt like a few minutes. They kept everything on track and kept all problems away from me. The day was perfect. I kept waiting for something to go wrong, but nothing did! I actually did not even know our guest's trolley drove to the wrong location and only picked up at one of our two hotels until the guests told us the next day. Funny now, but would not have been funny the day of. Thank you to Cindy for keeping that, and who knows what else, away from me all day! I could go on about Cindy but let's get to Jeff. My husband had a very specific entrance he requested Jeff to do, and Jeff couldn't have been better at it. He had our timeline in correct order, made the announcements we asked, and even requests we made the morning of the wedding were fulfilled. He only played music we asked him to, and did not play anything on our do not play list. The dancefloor was PACKED the whole night. Not a single person was in their chair, and hardly anyone left early. Even the grandparents were out of their seats! It was the true party we were looking for and a week later, the guests are still telling us how much fun they had with the music. I am truly impressed by how well our wedding went, thanks to Cindy and Jeff. If you have not hired this duo yet, what are you waiting for?!

We didn't want to have to think about anything or lift a finger day of. My wedding was anything but a fairy tale. Aside from a lot of personal things happening that weekend ie: both my father and his grandmother almost dying, our apartment flooding and our washing machine breaking. Joy has a HUGE apart in why our wedding was a disappointment. I don't appreciate being blamed for not "hiring professionals " ( and that is why our wedding was a disaster ) when in fact she is a professional and we hire two people of her choosing to help with set up, break down and taking care of our fur baby. Aside from our drunk dj who also has a HUGE factor as to why our wedding was also ruined but he was a 4.9 star dj. She blamed US for why everything went wrong. She blamed my photographer for why things went wrong. She took zero responsibility and showed zero remorse and did not apologize for her behalf of why things went wrong. Saturday October 30th was our rehearsal. We showed up an HOUR before start time which was 530 we asked people to show up at 5 so there were not stragglers and we could start on time. She BLAMED US for why SHE didn't hand out the time line the night before. Almost all of our bridal party were on time so from 5-530 she could have handed out the time line. But she blamed us because once our trolley came to pick us up at 6:45 we needed to head out and that she was trying to find out information about where we were suppose to go in the morning and that the rehearsal didn't run the way it was suppose to. We did two run throughs. And yes we did have a friend preform the ceremony but she was also directing how things went. But once again that is OUR FAULT. Also the morning of she could have her or one of her helpers drop off the timeline ( because all of us were clueless ) We had a 6pm wedding and our hair and makeup started at 8 am. Which was confusing. My hair had fallen before the ceremony and SHE blamed my photographer for the time line and she said that's when we needed to get started. Well in fact after following up with my photographer she hasn't even talked to her until two weeks before the wedding. I have emails where she said we needed to start at 8 am and we asked her a couple of times why so early **** a month before she talked to the photographer *** and she said because we needed to be done by 2 for photos. I didn't think that we needed to micromanage my COORDINATOR because a handful of things that what went wrong with the DJ was the time line. And she did have a copy of everything because she was CCed onto the email about speeches and whatnot. Because all of the speeches were gone AFTER dinner. My favorite thing that went wrong was that we talked about having the wedding live streamed because a lot of people couldn't travel. But especially last minute my dad ended up in the hospital. Even though we had all of this set up IN ADVANCE 5 minutes I was about to walk down the aisle I had to ask her " don't you need my phone for the live stream?" Joy:" someone told me we weren't doing that because your dad wasn't doing well" ... EXCUSE me ? Neither me or my husband never said that NOR did we want that especially because of all the people who weren't able to come. And she wouldn't tell us who " told her that" nor did she double check with her PAYING clients. And her thing was " well we got it figured out in the end and the live stream went on" and the ONLY reason it happened because I has to REMIND her about everything before I walked down the aisle. Also, despite talking about decorations in detail. The pumpkins that were suppose to be lining that aisle were not there. The boutonnières never made it on the guys. Nor did my ring bearer have the carriage I made. Joy had a detailed packing list. Along with pictures of everything. All of the boxes were Labeled. Her excuse was " everything was so pretty and we didn't know " so you're telling me that my pictures and detailed packing list and labeled boxes weren't enough? She then said that we'll there were only enough pumpkins for the tables to which I told her yes and they were suppose to go down the aisle. I am sick of people saying no one noticed. I NOTICED. I look at the video of me on my wedding day and I am sickened because you see the annoyance on my face especially when I realize everything missing in the ceremony. Not only did I have a lot of personal stress but the people I paid 100s of dollars for and talked in detail with about how I want the venue to be set up was NOT how we discussed for 3 years ** yes 3 years ** I'm not sure why we hired the extra people to help her when she ended up having our guest help pack things up and bring them out to the uhaul afterwards. The food, drink, service, and presentation were all five stars. I wasn't surprised when the groom told me the next day that SERG also caters the RBC Heritage PGA Tour Event at Harbour Town. To me, that's all that needs to be said. As I wrote in my review for Nectar Farm Kitchen (https://www.yelp.com/biz/nectar-farm-kitchen-hilton-head-island-2), I think SERG is *the* premiere restaurant group in Hilton Head. SERG operates over a dozen restaurants on the island including the aforementioned Nectar, old-school Giuseppi's pizza, popular Poseidon, and award-winning Skull Creek Boathouse. I think most major American metropolitan areas have restaurant groups with a catering arm like SERG. It wouldn't surprise me if they're considered the standard on HHI. The wedding we attended was held outside at the 4,000-square-foot Mary Ann Peeples Pavilion at the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn. Signature Catering & Events had an outdoor bar with two bartenders, passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, and a self-serve buffet dinner during the reception. All staff, including bartenders and servers, were uniformed. The bartenders and servers looked professional and spiffy, wearing what I describe as the typical New American restaurant attire, dressed-up casual with aprons; for that handcrafted cocktail, farm-to-table look. My favorite passed hors d'oeuvre was the bacon-wrapped scallops. They were freaking delicious. The scallops were plump and flavorful and the bacon was tasty and smoky. I love salads and I loved Signature's individual salad plates. Each plate was a sizable baby iceberg wedge salad with arugula, heirloom tomatoes, Sweet Grass Dairy blue cheese, and applewood smoked bacon with buttermilk ranch and a balsamic glaze. The salad was fresh and crisp. From the buffet, I got a corn muffin with whipped butter, steak and onion strings, potatoes, panko fried chicken, rice, corn souffle, green beans and onions, and jumbo asparagus. If I recall correctly, there were two steak temperature options, well done and medium or medium well. I prefer my steaks medium rare, so I went with the option that was not well done. It was good. I enjoyed the chicken too. It had a yummy outside crust, the meat was tender, and the sauce was delectable. It was sweet and savory. The corn muffin with whipped butter was terrific, as was the corn souffle. I loved the jumbo asparagus. Each piece was firm with appetizing consistency - not too chewy nor stringy - and nicely seasoned. All of the staff I interacted with - mainly the bartenders, but also one of the folks taking plates away - were friendly, polite, and efficient.

He didn't give me a face or ask why just went with my new flow and offered tips on how I could make it better. He gave me great advice and even helped me make some decisions that were still up in the air. He helped me put together a day of timeline even though that is definitely not his job. On my wedding day he showed up early and started working right away! Even though I gave him limited information he walked around and figured things out on his own. Anytime I texted him about something he was already on it! He took photos of every single little thing I asked for and I didn't have to remind him about any of it. He was so professional and everyone really took note! During our photos downtown he engaged with my 2 year old flower girl and kept her busy as his "assistant" it was really such a sweet moment to watch him with her. My DJ (Gavigan Entertainment) was a nightmare but Rodney took out his iPad and got my ceremony music to play. During the reception I was all over the place but he kept me focused and he made sure I got photos with everyone and he never stopped working. Even when he sat to eat he was talking to my guests and taking photos. After the wedding I told him I was going straight on my honeymoon and wouldn't have service (Cruise) so he stayed up and gave me a sneak peek!! Perfect beginning to my honeymoon.
