When I made the res, the lady asked me to text my license and insurance so everything would be ready. When we arrived, the folks working said, "the texting lady isn't here today, so we don't have your info". Our cart was junk. Top speed, downhill, was 15mph. It did not have a good charge when we picked it up; one trip from the north to the south end of the island took over half the battery. It had to charge constantly. No way to see or hear if the manual-cancel turn signals were on or not. When I was buckled into the wildly uncomfortable seat belt, I could not reach the console or my phone. These were fun to drive and an alternative to driving a car. It was easy to have 4 people here. 2 in the front and 2 in the back. Prices were inexpensive especially when splitting in a group. Will always book with Tybee Golf Carts!!! I have used them several times for a golf cart while visiting Tybee. They have the best quality carts on the island. And the customer service is out of this world. No matter how busy they are they take their time helping and have a great attitude. Recently I made a last minute trip to Tybee and called to rent a cart the next day ( in June - high season). Their lot looked cleaned out when I drove by and I figured my chances were slim. I called around to a few other places, but the cost was so much higher and the vibes were just not good. The next morning I got a text saying they had a cart available and I called right away. An hour later I was scooting around Tybee in a fun electric golf cart!! Because I had rented from them before, all the paper work was done and all I had to do was show up, pay, and drive away!! We rented a golf cart for 5 days tour my mom around the island. The cart was a rough ride. Maybe they are all like that. My mom went to get in the golf cart later that day, losing her footing and ended up having a hard fall backwards, cutting her head, arm and leg. Not to mention the unbelievable bruising. Now, this in no way is the fault of the cart cart or the company. However, we returned the golf cart a few hours after picking it up as it was going to be too dangerous for my mom to ride. Again, not the cart or the companies fault. The reason I am writing this low review is I message the company from their website with no response. I then called and spoke to someone who promised. To get with his boss and call me back. Needless to say, they never called. I was asking if we could get a partial refund or if we had to stick with the $670 we had paid when using it a few hours before returning. That was a very poor experience. I grew up learning to do what you say you're going to do. To have no response was extremely disappointing. read more

We called in advance a few days and easily worked through registration to rent a cart for the week. Easy peasy. Pick up was roughest because folks just walked up and tried to step ahead of those of us respectfully waiting. We had a little difficulty with our cart, called and within minutes, were brought a different cart. Boom. Thanks so much for your caring customer service. You guys rock!! read more

They should let you know you can't drive on any highway with a cart before you rent a cart.That made it very difficult to get around. There are only a few places you can even cross 80 which was a big pain also. read more

Great experience! We rented a six person gas golf cart for our week in Tybee Island. Customer service was great, all staff were friendly and informative as this was our first time on Tybee and using the golf cart to get around. It was the best way to get around the island. Our kids absolutely loved using the golf cart....... so much fun. Big added bonus is not having to pay for parking anywhere and the ability to fit in small spaces. We enjoyed the cart so much added an extra day to our rental which was no problem. Drop off took two minutes and it got great great gas mileage. I think for the whole week we used less than one gallon of gas! Without a doubt we will be back to Tybee and renting a cart again! read more

Easy process, friendly staff and having the golf cart changed our trip entirely. Exploring the island was awesome with a golf cart. We rented a gas powered one, which is the way to go, and they rented us a new one (maybe 5 hrs on it total). They gave us a map and explained Tybee's rules for golf carts. The best part is free parking with the golf cart, which is awesome because the whole island is metered. Awesome. read more

My wife and I did a two nite stay at Tybee with no car. We did a 24 hr rental of a gas cart as they knew our hotel would not have charging ability. It's the best way to tour the island. We went from north beach to south beach and all between a couple times. The parking rules for carts is also great. If you come to Tybee often it's a must do! The cart was a bit older and kinda slow, but we laughed, and it made it more fun. The people were friendly and the process simple. Have a great day! read more

Called in advance to book for a day on the island for my wife's birthday. Was told they only reserve for 2 or more days. Okay that's fine so I asked can I make a same day rental and do they run out. The lady on the phone who seemed nice assured me that they wouldn't run out at all and that I didn't need to be there early to ensure I got a rental. Showed up around 2 hours after they opened and they were sold out. Also stating "it's always busy on parade days idk why they'd tell you that". I clearly told them the first time what day I was coming. Extremely irate now because I would have planned to come earlier had I known they would go quick. It's safe to say I'll never come try and rent from them and will recommend the same for family and friends. read more

After spending several thousand dollars on repairs and waiting several months for my golf cart to be ready, I've had the worst customer service from this company. If you are staying on Tybee Island and want to rent a cart, this company is fine; but, if you have repairs that need to be made to your personal cart, please take your business elsewhere. We wanted to rent golf cart while at tybee. The kids were so excited. When we called none were available and was told it was 69.00 for 24 hours call back after 9 tommorrow. Kids woke up wanting to go get cart. When called they said they had 2 day carts only. But we called yesterday and we r leaving tommorrow only here for weekend. Then she said she had some charging and we might get one , did we want on the waiting list. Yes gave number. When I called later to ask if available they told me I needed a reservation and they only had 2 day rental. Come to find out, waiting list is not same as waiting list? When I began to question why I wasnt told all this yesterday, I was put on hold. Someone else answered and was very ugly explaininv the only carts available were 2 day carts. Refused to rent for1 day because they were premium carts? Was rude and hung up. I was trying to explain we were told the day before that they would have carts available today after 9,and the kids were so upset. She hung up on me saying she didnt have to listen go me. Very rude. Evidently money hungry mongroles. Couldnt rent premiun cart for 1day? Dont suggest them. I will walk miles before I gave her a dime. And guess who has to listen to kids all day.
