    Sheds of Savannah

    (1 review)

Frustrating and disappointing experience! We stopped into Sheds of Savannah last Thursday afternoon…read moreto buy a shed. Charles (sales person) greated us and showed us the sheds they had on the lot. Charles told us that their sheds included a Heatshield (insulation in the ceiling), which we were excited about and impressed that it was included. According to Charles, the company he works for had just installed a new software system and it wasn't working properly. So, although we were prepared to buy he couldn't get the system working to complete our order. We agreed to talk on Friday and complete the sale. Charles sent me a link to choose the shed and color options and I sent him my choices via a link Friday evening. They are closed Sat. & Sun. I didn't hear back from Charles until late Monday afternoon when he asked me to send him all of the shed information again because "they are not seeing the build" via the link I sent hiim. So, I sent him the link via text (I had previously used the Share Link on the website, which apparently doesn't work). Charles then asked me to send him my email address and the address of the house where the shed will be installed. I had already given him the information and he supposedly wrote it down and then lost it (no surprise when the office was a disorganized mess). I asked for a quote to be sent via email with a payment link. I never received one because "the system wasn't working". So, instead of one invoice I received a series of screenshots in text messages on my phone that were hard to see and read. I had to follow up with Charles on Tuesday (1:40pm) because he hadn't gotten back to me. He then tells me (via text at 4:31pm) that I have to pay for the shed BEFORE he could send me a quote of what I would be receiving (colors, doors, etc.). I've done a lot of business with a lot of contractors, etc. and I have NEVER been asked to pay before I get a quote. He then again blames his software for the issues. Charles forgot to include the 10% discount they were offering, so I had to follow up with him to get the text screenshot "quote" adjusted. Wednesday afternoon I get a text from Charles asking if we want to include the heat shield (which he said was included) and I pushed back that he told us it was included. He then starts arguing with me and denying he told us that it was included. He also said the company wouldn't allow him to include the heat shield, but he didn't even bother to call them to find out. Charles started shouting at me and blaming me for all of the delays, which were his fault not ours. His lack of professionalism and knowledge of his own products ended up costing the company a sale.

WARNING: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SCOTT WOODDELL OR SUPERIOR OUTDOOR STRUCTURES…read more I'm posting this to warn others about the absolutely disgusting and dangerous experience my family had with Scott Wooddell, the man who sold us a Stor-Mor building and owns Superior Outdoor Structures. After we reached out to him for clarification about where our 200amp breaker was located, why anchoring wasn't included in the delivery (something we never agreed to), and to gather general information about the install--Scott and his wife immediately became angry, rude, and said it wasn't their problem. We've spent over $25,000 with them and just wanted basic answers. Because of how aggressive they were, we told them we wanted to cancel the order and get a refund, as our contract clearly states we have three days to cancel for a full refund. That's when things escalated. Scott Wooddell threatened to physically harm us, told us he'd "go to jail again" over it, and made racist, hateful comments--including calling me a "n***er lover." When my husband calmly asked again for a refund, Scott said, "I don't care what you say, you're not getting refunded anything." And now, because he knows exactly what he's done--he has already blocked both me and my husband on Facebook. I've attached a screen recording showing proof of this. We're filing a police report for the threats made against our family and reporting him to the Better Business Bureau, Attorney General, and every consumer protection agency we can find. Please be careful. If you're thinking about doing business with Superior Outdoor Structures or Scott Wooddell--DON'T. This man is dangerous, unprofessional, and should not be allowed to treat anyone like this.

One star is for Jesse actually showing up when multiple other local contractors never showed up…read morewhen they said they would. The other star is for the subcontractors who actually did the eight-week job that was supposed to be a three-week remodel. They were very hard-working and extremely respectful. The other reviewer is correct. Jesse and family do not do any of the actual work. It is all done by subcontractors. When Jesse showed up the first time, he impressed me with everything he said he could do and would do. It was a lot of talk, but I have been disappointed with his actions. The workers showed up when they said they would and worked long hours. I probably saw Jesse about ten minutes total in the eight weeks of the remodel. He told me I would receive paperwork showing he had Workman's Comp. Insurance on all of his employees and workers with my contract when I paid the initial payment. I never received any of that. I gave Jesse pictures of what I wanted things to look like, and the end result is not like the picture. Even a particular tile he sent me a picture of is not what is installed. I gave Jesse a very detailed list of what I wanted done when he did the initial walk-through including things we added together, even asking if I should buy the materials. At the end, things we discussed were not done and were added on as extra costs. Jesse rushed the crew halfway through the project while they were working here because he wanted them to work on another job of his, and it shows. At that point, I felt like I was being nickeled and dimed and that things had been intentionally left off so they could be charged later if I wanted them. During the project, the corner of my driveway wound up cracked/broken possibly during the trailer being backed up in the driveway. That is not the end of the world, but it would have been nice if the driver would have brought that to my attention. Also, the debris from the project piled up in the yard way too long when the trailer was not here. It is disheartening to have paid a small fortune (the checks cashed fast) and when I have had guests since the remodel to remark on a couple of things that should have been better. Ross Creek Cabinetry was one of the cabinet subcontractors. They entered my home without knocking or ringing the doorbell and went all through the house. They were very unprofessional and left a huge mess. Jesse said he dealt with that as that was the second time he had a similar customer complaint. Bedrock Countertops was another subcontractor. Rodrigo was very knowledgeable and efficient.
