My husband and I stayed at Two Hearts Inn for our anniversary this week, and what a wonderful surprise it was! This truly is a hidden gem. We've been coming to Edmond for years and somehow had never heard of this charming bed and breakfast. After our stay, we can't say enough good things about it. There are so many special things about Two Hearts Inn, it's hard to know where to start. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and each one has its own unique character. The innkeepers, Larry and Tamara, are incredibly warm, friendly, and accommodating. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The grounds are peaceful and serene, and you would never guess you were right in the heart of Edmond. But one of the real highlights of the property is the onsite Inspirations Tea Room. They serve breakfast and lunch, specialty coffees, and host wonderful tea parties. It's also an incredible gift shop filled with so many unique and beautiful things. This is where breakfast, which is included with your stay, is served--it's like a gourmet breakfast in a five-star hotel. We especially loved the homemade scones, with a different variety each day, served with homemade lemon curd. They were outstanding! The coffees were wonderful as well, and the creative designs they make on top of the drinks were such a fun and special touch. Starbuck's doesn't even do that! The tea room and gift shop itself is unlike anything we've ever experienced. There are several beautiful seating areas, including two indoor spaces, a glass-enclosed conservatory, and an outdoor patio tucked away among flowers, plants, and herbs. It creates such a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. And the gift shop is amazing. They have home décor, jewelry, children's gifts, and their own company called Teaoli where they make their own specialty teas, flavored olive oils, and balsamic vinegars--with so many unique varieties to choose from. We spent so much time browsing everything. Patricia works at Inspirations and was our waitress and helped us with purchases in the gift shop. She was amazing. She knows the menu and ingredients front and back and is very knowledgeable. Any questions or anything we needed, she was so happy to answer and help us. You can tell she thoroughly enjoys being there. What really stood out to us was the incredible attention to detail and the obvious love that has gone into creating this special place. Everyone we encountered was so friendly and welcoming that we immediately felt like part of the family. So first of all, this is probably the nicest room I've seen at a bed and breakfast. It's absolutely beautiful. The fridge full of complimentary beverages was nice, as was the cheesecake we ordered. They really nailed the bed part. The breakfast part, not so much. Breakfast is served at the adjacent tea house. The staff is polite, but we weren't a fan of the setting, or the bible verses, and the food was subpar. For example, my wife ordered an English muffin sandwich with sausage, which came with 1 sausage link. My biggest complaint however was how the romance of this experience was completely zapped out of existence by the crew of construction workers hanging an awning outside our window at 9am Saturday morning. It's not easy to be romantic or intimate with a team of men 4 feet from your bed. I also noticed a previous review talking about the check in process and how there are a lot of rules. This is still the case, however I wouldn't say they were rude about it. You just have to initial all the rules on a checklist. I had a little issue when he told me that we can't hook out media devices to the tv, and when I asked him if they have any streaming services he said "well, our provider is Direct TV." (They do actually have streaming services on the tv, so there was no need to hook anything up.) Overall, I may stay here again because of how nice the room is, and I'm guessing the construction thing is probably not something that would be an issue in the future, but they overall experience could use a little refining. Amazing experience from start to finish. So here we go with all of the agonizing details. Their website is easy to navigate and rather nice to look it. You may think this is irrelevant but nothing turns me off from a place faster than a cluttered and sloppy website. There is plenty of detail and info and I was really left without any questions. It's super easy to book your room and any additions you'd like to add. PERSONAL TIP: Booking a room for one night seems like a real waste of money. I'd imagine if you're staying at a place like this, it's for a special reason. So go ahead and book two nights so you can have a whole day to have the room. The room the Jeff and I had (The Venetian) was crazy comfy from the chairs to the bed (even the carpet was real noice). The owner, Larry, is a swell guy. I met him before our scheduled date. I'm not much of a romantic ooey-gooey type, but I did plan a surprise for the Jeff. I have an artist buddy who I commission for stuff all the time. Long story short: I had her do a piece using the two of us as the subject (nothing like being painted like a French girl. We're actually playing video games in it. I digress.). I called ahead (by a week or so) to see if they could place the framed picture in the room before we got there for our official date. They said yes, so hurray. The day before we went, I got everything done and took the art in the frame and was greeted by Larry. I told him what was going on and he took down the info he needed with some pleasant customer service. When both Jeff and I got there, it was placed on the dining table quite nicely. The check-in process was easy... yet eerie? I had told Larry the day before that we would be there at 4pm. When we arrived around 4:10 (SO SUE ME), Rebecca (if that name is wrong I'm so sorry D:) had opened the front door (which remains locked and can only be accessed via keycard. Before check-in, you either call a number to be let in, or apparently they keep watch if you give a specific check-in time) and greeted us. She was also extremely pleasant (customer service robots?) and talked us through the rules and whatnot. They're basically just "don't be a tool". Simple enough. Then she led us to our room and gave us a card with WiFi info and numbers to reach both her and the owner. This room. Gosh. It looks nice. It was clean as heck. There are some chairs on a side wall which looked purely decorative. But no. They were clouds. Amazing, fluffy clouds. It's a big deal to me, okay? But they were nothing compared to the bed. Why can't I live there? Lovely bathroom with a deep whirlpool bath (if that's your thing. Baths are gross to me but I paid for it SO I TOOK ONE) and walk-in shower, walk-in closet, big ol' TV with amazing graphics (that we used mostly to play Mario Kart. YES?), and comfy spacious carpet. Not to mention the way this particular room is faced toward the green courtyard and patio. It has ample opportunity for natural light with the two windows and glass doors to the room. On weekdays the room is supplied with a free "picnic" with some wraps, chips, drinks, cake, fruits, cheese, and scones. I would advise to specify in your online (or offline if you roll that way) check-in what to leave off wraps if you don't like, say, lettuce, mayo, or tomatoes. I guess I didn't really think about it, but since we stayed two nights, we got another round the next day and we requested our preferences during a breakfast at Inspirations for later that day and the requests were honored. Yay! And the food is tasty, I must say. There are other additions you can add on and those are on the website. I'm not yo general informant. As said above, we had breakfast (twice) at Inspirations. For all that info, I wrote a separate review, so nyah. *Note: There is WiFi there. If it's crappy at first, don't whine about it and not do anything about it. Firstly, at least in the Venetian, there is a WiFi extender near the floor in a plug-in in the walk-in closet. Reset that first. It worked great for us. Granted, we called about it first and were told that information. But hey, now YOU know that. You're welcome. If something like that flusters you, I dunno what to tell ya. read more

We booked this place to stay in for the night of our wedding. First of all, it was $300 dollars FOR THE NIGHT. But because it was our wedding night and it looked really fancy we figured for such a special occasion maybe we should do it. I called the innkeeper on the day of to be Sure to remind him that we had someone swinging by with our belongings during the day who Would pick our key up. He was extremely rude. He was saying "make sure your bridal and grooms parties Don't come with you, just the two of you" in an extremely rude manner and went on about a plethora of other Things we could not do very rudely. When we got to the room it was pretty and nice however it was Extremely dusty. The comforter and bed were Covered in dust which really upset my Partners asthma. In the morning we headed to breakfast, which was pretty good. We weren't expecting all the Bible verses that came with our plates. There were Literally little strips of paper with bible proverbs on them that came on our plates of food. The waffles and bacon were great but the eggs were super mediocre. The only Person in the entire bed and breakfast Who was nice to us was the blonde waitress. We made sure we gave her a nice tip. We then went to collect our belongings and check Out and our phone rang, with the rude inn keeper calling to be sure we were on our way out. We are definitely a little disappointed that we spent $300 on a room we only got to sleep in with an incredibly rude inn keeper. It was a beautiful room, but attitude and customer service are everything. It was our wedding night. We don't recommend staying here, not for that price, it's ridiculous. read more

He did not Disappoint! The tea room attached to the bed and breakfast was adorable and delicious. Great for a quiet getaway! We had a wonderful stay for our 6th anniversary. We got the Santa Fe room, just because it was cheapest, and even though that's not our style we still enjoyed ourselves. We brought some board games and enjoyed our time together out in the courtyard. We went down stairs to the sitting area in the grass and it was peaceful and pleasant. We had the picnic dinner and it was plenty of tasty food for the two of us. Looooooved having the jacuzzi tub, and the bed was super cozy. Breakfast was delicious! I ordered a macchiato instead of getting regular coffee and they were kind enough to not charge me any extra, and kept it as part of the complimentary breakfast for two. We didn't have much interaction with staff, but the little bit we did everyone was very friendly. I would recommend the experience to anyone looking for a simple getaway. read more

We planned to stay for a nice evening. Had reservations in the "Hideaway" room. Our experience was underwhelming at best. 1. The room had been smoked in. This is supposedly a tobacco-free property. You could tell it had been attempted to clean, but the stale smoke smell remained. Additionally, another couple staying at the property were smoking nearby and the smell was evident. Yes, they were outside, but we had to walk past it and it was close to our room as well. 2. The room did not have a DVD player, as other do/did the last time we were there. I had a favorite movie picked out, but no joy. 3. We had were doing the "Berries and Bubbles" Gack! The berries were good, but the sparkling was Tott's. We didn't even open it. I was not expecting Moet, or Clquot, but they could at least have had something made in the traditional method vice the mass produced "Charmat" . There are plenty of decent sparklers for around $15. 4. We used the firepit for a small romantic fire, but apparently this is not appreciated, and the owner had the temerity to call and complain. He could at least have had the decency to walk out and ask. Had it not been us out there and he called me, I would have been livid. There was nothing posted about don't use it. There were even park benches surrounding it to sit and watch the small fire, so why would it even be there if not to use? We were so disappointed and the whole thing upset my better 1/2 so much we left for the evening and went home, (40 miles away). We reserved the Hearts room back in July for Valentine's Weekend. It's a beautifully appointed room, and met every expectation we had. The furniture has changed from what's featured on their website, but we think it's even better than what was there before. As a designer, I loved the big space, plush bed and bedding, and romantic jetted tub with color-changing lights and a wall-mounted fireplace. Now for the cons. The reservation confirmation warned that check-in was from 4-6 pm. Anyone who visits B&B's regularly (like we do) knows that this is a RIDICULOUS window. Not only that, but they threaten to charge you an additional $50 for checking in late or coming back from an evening out past this supposed curfew unless you make arrangements with them in advance. We called and emailed five times, starting two weeks before our reserved date, but they never answered or returned our voicemail or email. Finally, the day before our check-in we were able to get ahold of the owner who agreed to leave keys under the mat. The room is outdoor-access only, so we had no trouble getting in. What we did have trouble with, was the a/c. When the temperature continued to climb and nothing we tried brought it down, we called the owner and asked for advice. It was after 9 pm and 75 degrees when he showed up, and he spent the next 45 min. or so resetting the circuit breaker and waiting for the system to clear and restart. We felt bad calling him so late, but we also paid $648.80 for two nights and felt that for that kind of price, we shouldn't have to sweat through the night! By the way, when I finally got the owner on the phone before checking in, he told me how he could sell the room we reserved for TWICE the price. I'm not sure what his point there was, but we've stayed at some beautiful and exotic places, and never had to pay $650 a night, like he's insisting. Now for breakfast-we'd told the owner the day before (and several times before that) that my husband is allergic to nuts and that I don't drink coffee. He said no problem, they could leave the nuts out for him and send me hot tea instead. Sounded great! For breakfast the first morning they served coffee and orange juice (no tea) honeydew, quiche with big chunks of bell pepper and onion, a scone with lemon curd, and plain yogurt with granola. The granola was almost solely comprised of nuts, so my husband couldn't eat any of it. The quiche was just ok, but the scone was DELIGHTFUL. We'd never had a good scone, usually what you get in the states are brick-hard and mysteriously dense, but these really rocked our perceptions of what a scone should be. The second morning my husband asked if I could get some hot tea, and so they delivered tea and orange juice (no coffee) with more honeydew, more plain yogurt with a different blend of granola comprised of nuts, grapes, two strips of bacon, and soggy French toast covered in nuts. My husband was able to eat the bacon and grapes. That's a pricey breakfast for $648.80. On Sunday we checked out by packing everything up and loading up the car before 11 am, as they requested, but then decided to walk the grounds and take some pictures before we left town. The Inspirations Tea Room is closed Sundays, so no luck there. The backyard is kind of peaceful, if you don't look at the creek on the other side of the fence which is littered with trash. We thought we'd check out the lobby, which we assumed would be open since that's where the other guests go to check in. The owner opened the door, and standing in it as a blockade to our passage, said "Do you need something?" We told him we were checked out and just looking around and taking pictures before hitting the road and wondered what the lobby looked like (the other rooms are beautiful, and ours was hands-down gorgeous.) He just stared at us, not moving, and after several very uncomfortable moments and conversational false-starts, we tucked our tails and left. We've stayed at close to 30 quality B&B's over the years, and this one is beautiful and could be GREAT, but between the price, the allergen (in)considerations, and the cold demeanor, they still have room for improvement. read more

Great romantic stay that's not too far out of the way. Stayed in the Santa Fe room. Hot tub was plenty big and the breakfast voucher provided more than enough food for breakfast. Definitely hope to come back again! read more
