Head into the cellar door and you'll find a bar to do tastings, a cafe and restaurant. But we recommend heading outdoors and having a wine after your tasting as the view is breathtaking! There's also a elevated decking right out on the vines with some amazing art and we think they've done a great job architecturally in setting this place up. The wine tasting is enjoyable, and we undertake this in our group whilst seated outside. The cost for a group of 5 or more is $5 for a tasting fee. The place is super busy the day we are there, so you are recommended to book ahead. In the tasting, we walk through the wines from white to red with the Mountain Ridge semillon, Mountain Ridge Pinot Gris, Mountain Ridge Rose, Mountain Ridge Sparkling Chamborcin, and finish with a Mountain Ridge Tawny Port, perfect to pair with dessert. We personally also love their macadamia liqueur which we tried at a local restaurant. The host let us also try a watermelon liqueur slushee, all the rage at the moment, and seemed to be popular with people at the winery. This was my favourite! There's plenty of parking. The turnoff from the highway is a bit harrowing, as cars don't seem to care that your turn signal is on. Certainly a friendly place to do a wine tasting. It's also quite picturesque. Fields and grape vines slope gently away from the tasting building, down to ponds and trees, and the hills rise dramatically not too far away. On a sunny day it's a very pleasing agricultural view. Their food is good, if nothing special. Sunday lunches usually only offer 2 or 3 choices for each course, but our sliced lamb and battered barramundi were nice enough.

And although we didn't get a chance to partake in their food in the dining room --- we did visit the cellar and had some fantastic wines. The atmosphere along with the friendly/knowledge staff made this one of the best wineries we visited in the area. I realize that everyone has a different palette --- but the stand out wine for me was their slightly carbonated Syrah. It was not only fantastic, but was the most unique wine I tried. I enjoyed it so much that I purchased a bottle to return with back to the states.
