Hidden in up a laneway off Market Street this is a great place to escape to on a hot day…read more The outdoor dining area is a narrow little area wedged between two old buildings. Grape vines span the space between the two buildings creating a cool, shaded area in between. The place has a real rustic feel to it and its obviously popular with the locals as it fills up every lunchtime. They do a great Reuben sandwich which oozes out what I swear is a homemade version of McDonalds big mac sauce. One of the best I've had for sure. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor area with water bowls spread around and a few pooches also enjoying a break from the heat on the day I was there. They're only open for dinner on Friday and Saturday night which is a shame as it would be a great dinner venue during the week.

This place is divine. If you're looking for a romantic, secluded spot for lunch or dinner you need…read moreto visit Alby and Esther's. As we were walking around, exploring Mudgee, I spotted a little cobblestone entrance and saw a courtyard covered in vine leaves. We quickly made a reservation for dinner and were not disappointed. We were seated in the courtyard, underneath the vines and there was even a live band playing some soulful tunes. It was absolutely perfect. For dinner we ordered the baked Brie (yes it was as good as it sounds), pumpkin dip with bread and stuffed mushrooms (plenty of vego options available). The food was excellent and we chose some local wine from Mudgee to match. All in all a great atmosphere, wonderful service and great food!

$25.00 all you can eat. You beaut I'm in…read more I get their and well parking, their was plenty, staff fun and friendly however the "oh your bought you Sydney money with you.... Big bucks then" comment didn't go down at all with me. I pay for them meal quick and fast service. Table seating so close the "Esmay Watson" beside us started interfering in our conversation. Get to the food "all you can eat" lol I serve more meals in my own kitchen. Yes you got it their were 4 different hot choices. Pork, steak, fish, and mixed baked/steamed veggies... And where was the gravy.... You guessed it no where to be seen. Now onto the 6 different types of salads ( if that's what you call it) and the small plates of desert. It was to late, I paid and couldn't get a refund, even if that was rude I just couldn't do it. I go to dish up and well I had pork as that was the only thing that looked like it was eatable however tasted like apples. Way to many apples were stuffed in that pig. Then onto desert choc heart shaped cake which looked to be chocolate cake, a marshmallow thing on a choc drop and a nice looking glass of custard which turned out to be key lime.... sour and sour. The cake was nothing but moose with nuts through it, no allergy warning and no flavor. All in all the choc drop was the nicest part of the meal. That was $25 I won't get back and I'm sure I won't be back for a meal. I think my rich Sydney money can stay in Sydney.

This is standard no nonsense RSL Club/Pub food. The food and the drinks are reasonably priced and…read morethe meals are good and well sized. The view from the tables near the window is beautiful.
