My son was very tired since we were pushing nap time, but Kelsey was incredibly patient and kind. She spoke to him sweetly, brought out her iPad and stickers, and put on Bluey to help keep him comfortable. She handled his movement so well and made the entire experience stress free. The salon itself is a hidden gem with lots of character and a very welcoming staff. We left with the cutest little mohawk, and she did an amazing job. I already booked appointments for my daughter and myself and am looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend this locally owned salon.

I didn't even bother going to a salon the last time I was in desperate need of a trim because why bother driving and paying when I would just end up fixing it when I got home. Hailey was recommended by an acquaintance who is also sporting short hair as someone who knows their way around a pixie cut, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Hailey spent enough time with me pre-cut to understand what I was looking for and where my hair gets weird. She listened to me, looked at some picture, asked clarifying questions, and only then did she shampoo me up. It is a 45 minute drive from home to the Charlotte Hall location, but totally worth the drive. If you are challenged with finding someone to cut your pixie correctly, Hailey made this picky customer happy.

I had to ask to be turned around so my back was to the lights. I can't imagine I am the only customer experiencing this discomfort as well as the stylists who have to stand there all day.

My hair has a natural curly that I like showing off but do style my hair from time to time. I felt great leaving the salon after getting tips and the conversations had. The following day I wanted to wear my hair straight and noticed my hair was not cut uniformly. I called the salon, they were super apologetic, invited me back it so it could be fixed. Saw her in target just a couple of days before his funeral, and mentioned how bad I needed my hair done...I'm so NOT high maintenance (keep that in mind) She fit me in the day before our son's funeral! Since then, my 2 girls and I have enjoyed her and all of the wonderful ladies at Expressions. Just today, my 12 year old had her looong hair trimmed by Candall. As we left - she said "Mom, I always love this place. It's just a happy place to be!" She's right - keep doing you Ash! You have created a wonderful atmosphere, full of laughter, love & fun.

Today I called to schedule an appointment when I was called back and told they no longer will allow me to be a client there because they "heard" I was talking bad about the salon. They didn't even let me defend myself. I guess they have enough clients that they have zero problem just canceling you off someone else saying something that isn't true. They also called me on Speaker phone so I'm assuming it was done in front of other clients and stylist, real professional. Not only did you lose me as a client but you lost about 6 others.

April is a master at providing and peaceful and restorative facial. She is so respectful of my feelings and vibe. If I just want to zone out that is perfectly fine but she also is a wonderful conversationalist if you don't like long silences. She takes the time to explain each step so I am completely comfortable throughout the experience. Then Pam expertly performs facial waxing. I have yet to experience any real discomfort and for the first time ever, I have not had a single breakout afterwards. She uses a wonderful mixture of tea tree oil and aloe that cools down the waxed area and feels delightful. I intend to get brave and try more waxing in the spring because of the amazing results. Shortly afterwards I am back with April for a fabulous hair experience. I have not been this happy in many years since my favorite stylist moved to New York. She was able to recommend products that actually work and have helped immensely with my thinning hair. The recent glaze is just beautiful. I feel beautiful.
