I had my dog here over Easter weekend ( this year ) . We did a meet and greet before hand because…read morewe were concerned that we could not take a ten minute tour of the facility .They do not allow anyone in the building. We felt comfortable with the owners after the visit but my radar still flashed red flags . We were new in town and had limited options . Left our dog for three nights and disclosed his floor quirks ( not walking on shiny floors ) . We also prepackaged two meals a day for him . While away for family emergency in Canada we inquired about him and received very little information and short answers . We continued to inquire and got no response ( later were told they didn't see the texts ) . Picked up our dog early . Paid our balance . They gave me his blanket which was covered with vomit or poop we saw later and the prepackaged food that we left . He had been given 3 bags out of the seven . Dog gets home immediately has constipation issues then a week of Diarrhea and vomitting . Vet trip results in diagnosis of severe pancreatitis and a $700 dollar bill. Updating them this week as he got sicker and they said they didn't see any of those texts . This was frustrating enough but my dog was really sick. I left another email at this point and a message through thier website that was received and addressed immediately with an opology . It was then I found out that he was stressed there and that he didn't eat much so treats were given instead . They refunded the stay and we agreed he would not stay there again . He would be more comfortable with in home pet sitting in the future . The one red flag remains for me ..... you cannot go see where your dog is staying . Can't walk through the place . Have never encountered that ever . Pictures on the website don't tell the story . After speaking with friends this is also an issue for them . The reviews are mostly Positive but if you look at the dates of the reviews they are not recent reviews . If you have no problem not knowing what the place is like inside by all means take your dog there . They do seem to like dogs and our dog likes them in the outside driveway visit . For me we regret the decision we make and our dog paid dearly for that. He is finally recovering 3 weeks later .

However, the employees had exactly the right vibe for her because she went to them immediately and don't look back. The facility is clean and she was obviously well cared for. They didn't even think it strange when we packed a chewed slipper for a favorite toy- they knew what to expect from this precocious breed. We won't hesitate to bring her back when we go on another trip. A+++

Belated review, from first two kennel overnight visits…read more Outdoor segregated grass play areas, A/C and heating in the kennel apartments as needed to keep guests comfortable. Turns out our 60 lb Border Collie mix prefers recess with the "Littles", and this was happily accommodated. We are very reluctant to leave our pup for lengths of time, she has some emotional issues that came with her when we adopted her as an adult dog. Thrilled to report she received the best loving care at Mountain Top, and the proof was that she marched right in on her second stay with no trepidation. That says it all. We don't often travel without our pup pup. But when we do, we know she is safe and happy staying here. It is a beautiful property and top notch care.

This is the only way to make a reservation; then you have to submit it and wait to see if its accepted. It also lets you see the estimated costs, which for us were very accurate. Tessa did a great and extremely thorough "intake" check in - discussing, habits, feedings, snacks, toys, etc. Once you've done this, I anticipate the next visit is much quicker. They let us drop off our own homemade refrigerated food as well. You can take their favorite bedding and blankys too. The employees here all seemed enthusiastic and genuinely cared for the pets. There is obviously ALOT of repeat business here too which speaks volumes about the quality of this operation. They also have a cute shop inside with lots of pet accessories and specialty foods. Bay Breeze gets an enthusiastic '5 paws' from us, definitely recommend and we'll be back!

This pandemic and the immediate changes to everyday life have been quite impactful for many of us. And for a business which relies on people dropping off their fur kids on the way to work, one can only imagine the repercussions! Brian has kept the daycare open throughout the pandemic, as a resource for essential workers, as well as those of us who rely on some socializing and exercise for our pups during the week. The staff has been wearing masks, requiring masks, meeting dogs at the door to limit contact. And keeping the facility sanitary and safe. All while coping with the flux in staffing and scheduling. The facility remains clean, safe, and in fact has been upgraded in several areas to help keep the play area cool, "fresh" and comfortable for both dogs and staff. I encourage pet parents who have been clients to please keep supporting Brian and his team. I'm posting this now after reflecting on my dog's daycare history over the years, as this was the…read moreonly facility where we had a negative experience. Several years ago, I brought my dog here for daycare. During one drop-off, as I was about to drive off, he was able to bolt out of the facility and ran across the parking lot (in the dark!). Thankfully, a passerby caught him quickly and he was not injured, but this raised serious concerns about supervision and containment during handoff. After that incident, I continued bringing him back to use up pre-paid passes. From that point on, he always refused to leave the car-which made me concerned. Staff later told me he had developed a humping habit and said that if it continued, he would not be able to return. This was difficult to reconcile with what we experienced elsewhere. After we finished our passes, we used another daycare in Beaverton, where he had no issues. Since then, we've moved states a few times and gone to multiple other daycares in different locations, and he has consistently done well without any behavioral concerns. I understand that staff and policies can change over time, so this may not reflect the current operation. However, I think it's important to share past experiences related to safety and how dogs are handled following a stressful incident.
