My boyfriend got the fish fry since it is only available on Fridays and I got a gluten-free pizza which is some of the best gluten-free crust I've had!! There is even live music on the day that we went, and the artist was phenomenal. After we ate and had some drinks, we went upstairs to the little arcade room and played some games. This is a great restaurant to grab a bite and hang out with some friends. Will definitely be coming back soon!!

At $7.50, they were dry as dirt, because they didn't have any garlic sauce, or salt, and every puerto rican knows that plantains come with sauce and plenty of it. Waste of money. My husband ordered the sausage and peppers, which consisted of 1 sausage cut in half,on a hamburger bun and a few pieces of peppers. Fries were average, $14.50. I had the chicken quesadilla, $17.50. Ordered 1 margarita and double Jim Bean for hubby, I believe they were $15.00 each because the entire bill was a bit over $72.00, and being the person that I am, I left a $10 tip, not knowing what the food looked like until we got back to our campsite. Needless to say, much of it got tossed. If I could give it a negative star. review, I would. WASTE OF MONEY

Was there in Potsdam for a meeting and stopped in on a Thursday evening. Even though it's a butcher…read moreshop and called Hoof and Horn, I actually went in for vegetarian options noted on Yelp. The space is minimalist and gives old fashioned turn of the 20th century vibes. There's obviously a lot of pride and a commitment to local foods here. We ordered the night's cocktail special the New York Sipper -yum- the Raquette salad, two of the small (not small at all) plates that were on special that night: the creamy barley risotto and the butternut squash and mushroom parpadella. As a main course, we shared the house-made mushroom burger, savory and flavorful. Everything was fantastic, with many earthy, fresh and delicious flavors and a variety of textures. We clearly ordered too much food, since the small plates were actually full portion-size. Skipped dessert, although the special was tiramisu. They're under a lot of pressure to compete in Potsdam, but they're doing something that shows classical training and a commitment to quality. Several Finger Lakes wines on the list. Prices are astonishingly low for such an excellent meal. Note: tip is included and there were no "lighter" meats like poultry or fish on the menu. Thus the great vegetarian options, I assume.

Not going to lie...first time I saw/heard this place I thought it was just a butcher shop. Then I…read moreheard they had sandwiches and thought it made sense as they were a "butcher shop". Then one day at work everyone was getting lunch here and asked if I wanted to get in on the order and I was like sure, why not, and was pretty amazed by their choices on the menu. Ended up trying/getting the Banh Mi and was pleasantly surprised this came from a "butcher shop" but I learned that day that they are so much more. This place has awards, small town feel, great and hearty foods, friendly staff and they are a butcher shop that you can get some pretty good meats and don't forget Weiner Wednesday!!!! They also have some pretty good salads; their maple vinaigrette is darn good!!! So don't be afraid...come on in and get a sandwich either to sit down or to go.
