Imagine finally being in the situation too own a house for the first time in more than 20 years,…read moreafter years of wondering if you would ever own a house again. Imagine the excitement of quickly finding a good house and the offer being accepted on the house you're buying. Imagine the excitement of getting everything together for qualifying for the mortgage and shopping for homeowners insurance. Imagine the dismay and FUUUUUUU...... of accidentally and boneheadedly shredding the wrong driver's license when you go to pull your ID out of your purse to copy to your mortgage agent and realize your old expired license is still in there. Imagine the ensuing panic. Imagine the gratitude when you find a tag agency with hours after your regular work day, and they're able to fit you in under the wire when you explain your emergency sob story. Seriously these guys saved my life yesterday when all of the above happened and of the other tag agencies I called one didn't even pick up the phone and the other one would have stopped accepting walk-ins for the day by the time I'd gotten down there in another town. Even with the computer issues that red cap was having that day through no fault of their own, they still got me in and out within 2 hours. This will definitely be my backup go-to place and possibly even replace my regular tag agency that I've used since moving here, that for whatever reason didn't pick up yesterday.

So why did I change my 5 stars to 2 stars? After a pleasant call and working out a deal on the phone, I loaded up my trailer to pick up my purchase. Well, the deal changed by $149 and exceeded my limit. Kermit denied what he said on the phone. It wasn't really the money as much as the disrespect. I guess it makes a difference when the owner is not on site. In fairness he sent a text offering to accept a check for the original amount if I would come back. I already spent 3 hours on this, so I countered I would have a check ready if he delivered. No answer..... I'll include my original review from my previous visits below. Awesome Yanmar dealer. Carries Husqvarna too. Just used the service department. Just as awesome as Sales and Parts. Sad how things change.

The customer service is consistently top-notch. I picked up a Tudor FXD from them brand new, and the entire process was smooth and enjoyable. I also sold them a vintage Rolex, and they were very fair with their offer. I combined that with some of my own money to purchase the Tudor, and I couldn't be happier with how everything worked out. The store itself is clean and welcoming. On hot days they even offer cold water, which is a small touch but says a lot about how they treat their customers. Their selection of pre-owned watches is excellent--plenty of great pieces to look through. I haven't spent much time on the jewelry side, but the watch selection alone is worth the visit. Overall, Brockhaus is a solid place to buy or sell watches, and I've always left feeling well taken care of. Highly recommended.
