I truly wouldn't be alive if it weren't for the team at Meridian! Upon walking in, you are instantly transported to a peaceful place to slow down and take charge of your health. Your environment is vital when healing, and Meridian sets you up for success. Also, the herbal tea is a MUST. Please ask your practitioner about the formula they would recommend. The Feng shui is off the charts and the owners are driven to paint different walls yearly for good luck and healing. The intentionality of the owners and staff is top-notch. Meridian is a place where the staff takes care of themselves. So, you can expect the utmost care. Don't be afraid to be honest during your consultation, as that will give you the best path forward. If you aren't honest, they can read your pulse. So, you might as well open up about the specifics to optimize your session and help the practices understand any additional needle placements. But lets be honest, in our modern world, who isn't bursting at the seams on a personal and global level. Choosing Meridian shortly after they opened almost 15 years ago was one of the best decisions I ever made. With my chronic dis-ease, auto-immune, paralysis... I would not be alive if it weren't for Acupuncture at Meridian. And I've been to many Acupuncturists but the needling at Meridian is different. They know additional techniques that are safer for people with my conditions (think Japanese needling - not as deep of a needle). So, stop thinking, call Meridian, and do the dang thing!

I *heart* my acupuncturist Shelby at Common Ground Wellness. I met Shelby a couple of years ago…read morewhen she first relocated to Louisville and started to build her practice locally. While I'm lucky enough not to have major physical ailments, I have seen Shelby for sleep issues and general stress maintenance brought-on by my busy life as a corporate attorney and non-stop, churning mind. After years of restless sleep, I can now proudly say I sleep with ease thanks to my monthly acupuncture treatments. I have referred many friends and family to Shelby, and there is no other practitioner I would trust with my loved ones. She was exceedingly helpful in treating my father's Parkinson's symptoms, and in helping other family members with a wide array of varying health issues. Her advice is solid, sound and practical. She helps make the practice of acupuncture approachable and easy to understand. (And as someone who has always disliked needles and medical procedures, I can assure you that acupuncture needles are indeed extremely tiny and nothing to fear.) The wonderful thing about acupuncture is that it seems to help treat symptoms where other forms of medicine cannot. Acupuncture is a great supplemental form of wellness care to add to your existing routine, or to pursue as a stand-alone treatment. The environment at Common Ground Wellness is calming and serene, which is exactly what you need when seeking to balance mind and body through wellness. The bonus of visiting her office is the mini-zen art show you can experience in each of the treatment rooms. Shelby is a well-rounded practitioner and has great reviews for solid reasons. I can't recommend Shelby highly enough!
