At the first party the lifeguard (I'm forgetting her name) had to rescue one little girl who got caught underwater. Yesterday at the 8 year old party, Vanessa was EXCELLENT. Prompt, kind, professional and watched over (13) 5-10 year olds for 3 hours. It would have made me crazy but she was amazing. Why close the pool in the middle of the day and weekend? The hours are not clearly posted on the entrance, only in fine print. The city of Chula Vista has the funds to run the facility with longer hours but don't. If the city pay lifeguards according to market rate, they can find lifeguards. The YMCA has 6 lifeguards for a pool smaller than this pool. The worst locker room, shower only drip when more than 1 person turn it on. The shower tower is the same type on public beaches, it's not acceptable in 2024. Chula Vista funding is not well spent for the general public, instead, the funding is spent on the wealthy East Lake areas!
