As a true Montessori parent, we want to believe that every school that calls themselves Montessori is truly committed to that. I think that' turtle River has the vision of what they want to be but with staff turnover you can see how quickly they're looking to get bodies in the door to keep things operating. Would really love to see them, retain staff for longer periods of time and to properly hire in the future. Everything seems to be a decision made out of desperation. read more

Amazing experience for your children. Teaches such independency and advancement. The teachers are outstanding and so very unique.

I am incredibly grateful for the experience our family has had at Turtle River Montessori School, both the East and West Campuses. This school is truly a gem, and it's all thanks to the amazing staff who make it a nurturing and enriching environment. The leadership provided by Mrs. Lisa and Mrs. Alyssa is outstanding--they are always on top of every issue that arises, ensuring that every student is cared for and supported. Their commitment to the well-being and success of the students is evident in everything they do. Before coming to Turtle River Montessori, our children had some difficult experiences at other highly regarded schools in town, It was a challenging time for our family, and we were looking for a place where our children could feel safe, valued, and truly happy. We found all of that and more at Turtle River Famiy. Our children have been at Turtle River Montessori for three years now, and I can honestly say they have never been happier. The staff at this school not only love our children but also appreciate them for their manners and character. It is clear that the educators here are passionate about their work and deeply care for each child as if they were their own. The school has exceeded our expectations with its exceptional academic program. The curriculum is both rigorous and engaging, fostering critical thinking and creativity. The teachers are dedicated and highly qualified, ensuring each student receives personalized attention and support. The school also offers a diverse range of extracurricular activities that complement academic learning, allowing students to explore their interests and develop new skills providing an outstanding education that prepares students for future success in both higher education and beyond. Thank you, Turtle River Montessori School, for teaching our children with love, care, and respect. You have set the standard for what every school should be, and we are so fortunate to be a part of your community. read more

I have four kids- who all attended TRM. My oldest is at a top-5 ranked university. All four of my kids started at TRM when they were 2-3 years old. The Montessori Method served each one well, as they are all very different and possess different learning styles. Two of my four kids have learning differences. As a family, we grew to become part of the beautiful community that the founder so lovingly created, that we couldn't imagine being a part of any other school in the area. The teachers are so caring, and kindness is fostered through every interaction between teacher and student, and among students. It's a close community, and I loved seeing the older students interact with younger ones. Everyone knows each other's name, which is so refreshing and really makes school seem like a second home to the students. This school truly embodies holistic education, and students who graduate from TRM are not only prepared academically for high school, but these kids are usually years beyond their peers in maturity and respect (for themselves and others). More importantly, these kids leave TRM with a very strong sense of self, ready to tackle the tough challenges and choices they will face as high schoolers, unafraid to be who they are and excited to pursue what interests them most. read more

I attended a Montessori school through elementary and was raised by a mother who is a Montessori teacher. Down the road my children attended Turtle River Montessori and they have returned to TRM for their middle school years. I am a former teacher in both the private and public sectors and I can't say enough about Turtle River Montessori. The true vision of Maria Montessori, to teach the whole child and to empower the child to be intrinsically motivated for a lifetime of learning happens at Turtle River. Both of our children are free and independent thinkers, highly engaged in their learning and driven by the curiosity which was fostered at TRM. As my oldest moved to a new school for high school, she is thriving and much of that is because of Turtle River. Her ability to self advocate, to communicate with her new teachers, to feel confident enough to ask big questions and to be resposible for her own academics is such a joy to witness. The middle school at Turtle River has fully prepared her for the workload in high school and supported and encouraged her to expand her views, navigate broad thinking, and understand deep, analytical texts in order to speak confidently about her work. This is such a gift. We are all forever grateful to the staff, faculty and families of Turtle River Montessori for all they do over the years. read more

Turtle River Montessori has been a gift to our children and our family. I've been a parent for nearly 15 years and cannot say how impactful this school has been for our children and our lives. Both of our kids started in preschool through middle school and both excelled when they transitioned to traditional school. The hands-on, experiential learning and mentorship really sets kids up for success. We have family friends who are lifetime friends and we are so grateful to the school and the positive impact it has had in our lives. I would encourage any family to take a tour ...you will be inspired and encouraged by our next generation of leaders at TRM! The playground and classrooms cultivate such a loving and nurturing environment for the students to grow and thrive! Love this school read more

We have had a terrible experience here! We just moved to Jupiter from Palm Beach a year ago and I thought it seemed great but meeting so many parents now through The Pine School where my older kid goes I realize so many unhappy parents that pulled their children early because it was a terrible experience. And they will not give you a break on your tuition if that happens. They learn nothing, it's not true Montessori. They say you will meet the owner...never happened, parents are not inviting. We csn hardly wait to be done either this year read more

We moved here from out of town from San Francisco, our 2 year old son, had high anxiety from the move and from a previous daycare we had put him in which turned out to be awful. I was practically in tears wondering if i should give up my full time job, when someone at work suggestedTurtle river. Knowing she had very high standards I called the east campus and made an appt to visit. I was so impressed with the love, care and home environment they offer. I knew little about the Montessori philosophy but this is a real Montessori certified school. You would be so lucky to have your little one here. Once you visit you'll know why. read more

Please do not send your children here. It's a terrible, overpriced school. Do your homework and you will find many, many unhappy parents. There are so many better options out there with teachers and school owners who actually like children. read more

My daugther went to Turtle River Montessori and had the pleasure of having Ms. Jenna and Ms. Debbie in the Green Room. Her 3.5 years at TRM are still remembered and she wishes every day she could be back at TRM. It was a very loving and nurturing environment and she learned so much at the school it was AMAZING. Thank you Mr. Bubli for helping us out when we first moved to town and squeezed us in in the middle of the school year. You change our daughter's life and she still has a love to learn that we know came from such a great foundation at TRM. read more

If I could give Turtle River Montessori School zero stars, I would. The staff lacks basic politeness towards would be families if they feel you do not meet their high standards. Unfortunately what they didn't realize is we could have met tuition for all 3 of our children, twice! Very thankful to have seen their true colors before making a decision. Cannot recommend this school. read more

I absolutely do not recommend this school to any parent who has their child's best interest at heart (that's being polite). Put simply, I feel they have "lost their way," starting as a great idea (local moms banding together to homeschool their families, and later building their own school). But the leaders/founders of the school (who control ALL the finances, mind you...there is no board or such...an internet search will prove it) have turned it into a take-your-money racket. Classes too big, teachers unhappy (and high turnover), lots of "fluff" that looks good on the outside only. The Montessori method is good, but they don't do it right because the classes and school are now just too big...that's why teachers leave. THE WORST IS THAT if you have any concern/criticism/complaint or don't exactly fit into their "perfect" environement, they turn it against you to make it seem like your child is a problem child, then kick you out. Google it and you'll see reviews just like that. They want rich passive families who don't care about what exactly they are paying thousands of dollars for. I think I'm a reasonable parent, but I was appalled at what I discovered when I got past the "fluff." Don't risk your child at this place. Your money, child, and sanity will do better at any of the other numerous schools in the area. Visit and speak to the leaders yourself, and if it sounds too good to be true...well, you know the rest. read more
