Since we did not ultimately use their services, I cannot speak about quality of work which may be great.. initially they seemed to be priced well and willing to get the job done (clearing most of 1 acre) and we were excited about that... We chose them specifically because they could come out on a specific Saturday date we needed and because of other things mentioned above. Finally the weekend arrives that we scheduled but owner texts and says unfortunately they had an issue with machine and they have mechanic coming.. (which was understandable.. this happens) but he says for sure Sunday it's 100% go. Night before he texts again saying the equipment is still not fixed.. so I guess not 100%. We had already cancelled plans Sunday so that we could meet them out at property and get this done. But again, things happen right? We were very cordial and said okay.. let's move it to the next Saturday for sure. Friday night I called owner to confirm for Saturday when he mentions that it might rain and do I want to reschedule again? He seemed to not like the weekend day suggestions, but that's all we could do. I asked if we can wait until morning and if it seems like a sunny day, we can still get this done (because Texas weather changes on a whim right). He agreed, and we both agreed I would text him at 7 because they usually start at 8 or 9 latest.. which I did. After several phone calls and messages throughout the morning, just asking for a yes or no answer to doing the job today (which turned out to not be a rainy day after all but a perfect day), I have yet to receive an answer or call. We needed to know whether to make the 1 hr drive, and rent some equipment we personally needed to move a bit of dirt while we were out there... We never cancelled for today... Basically they dropped the job without communicating it, which would have been easy money for less than 8 hrs work. And through no fault of our own; we were understanding and accommodating potential customers. Super unprofessional experience. If they don't want to work on weekends, I suggest just changing the hours on the website - easy fix. If a job Is too far away, don't accept it. If you're too busy, also.. no problem... just let me know so I can move on to find someone who wants my money. No harm done.. now I've wasted weeks. And all this anxiety while trying to care for my young son who is sick at home with Covid. Soooo frustrating, and just wrong. I wasn't even going to accept the proposed "discount" they were going to offer after break down.. happy to pay full price if it could just get DONE. Maybe that's why owner didn't want to ultimately handle this anymore... because he didn't want to do it for less money.. I don't know. Hopefully this helps you avoid this company. We scrambled today and found someone who came out immediately to look at our land and said they would come back and get the job done rain or shine, and that there's no excuse for not following through on your word. That's how you get and keep customers.
