He couldn't make it out that day but he told me what to do, which in my state of mind I couldn't think of doing on my own. He came out the next day and diagnosed a broken stop-waste valve. Very honestly he told me that was not a problem he was allowed to work on. He did, however, connect me with someone who was able to come out later that day and work on the problem and fix it. What a mistake. She lied to us that she was licensed and insure. Her crew did poor quality work hiding the fact that several sprinkler, Heads were broken when the crew was taking our sod out. We questioned her about and made an excuse and had her crew knowply. Cover up the mistake with fabric. Then she asked my husband for an unreasonable bonus for us after doing a rock wall and charges us bogus hours as well. Then she keep giving us outrageous bids for additional work. She was definitely scamming us. I stopped the work and cancel our last check to her after she admitted she knew about the broken sprinkler heads. Be aware. She consciously comes across as a sincere person to develop your trust, in order to scam you later on. She got fairply compensated for the work her crew did minus the repairs and headaches to have a reputable contractor to finish. I would never hire her again. I am also making referrals to the appropriate licensing agencies about conducting work with out the appropriate licensing requirements and then lying about it.

We called Akimoto to help us with a low pressure issue. They came out, told us their fee, and spent…read moreabout 2 hours repairing broken valves and sprinkler heads. Unfortunately that didn't solve the issue. It was late by the time they finished and so they said they would schedule us right away for a return. I didn't hear back so I had to reach out and so they came two week later. Two guys, $90 per hour each guy. I paid the bill eventhough they couldn't solve the problem. I made a suggestion about how to possibly fix the issue and they liked it, and put us on the calendar again for two weeks out. They texted saying we would be the job at the "start of the day" and would arrive 9-10am. After waiting until 12:30pm I texted them that they shouldn't bother coming. Don't hire these people if you want reliability and/or reasonable prices.

After much thought I felt strongly to share my experience with Akimoto…read more *Be sure to get a quote before requesting service.* A price was never discussed or a contract signed before a sprinkler check last spring. Like previously, once the sprinkler check was completed I was going to pay. I was told I would be invoiced. I wasn't too concerned because I had several sprinkler repairs done in the past and found Akimoto reasonable in price... not the case this time. Once I received the invoice I was shocked at the high pricing. I was invoiced for two workers ($90/hr each) 1.5 hours plus materials. This is not how I was billed in the past; per worker per hour. I sent a check for payment for one worker (1.5 hr) plus materials. Akimoto is demanding full payment, for both workers, and threatening a lien on my property. Really. BEWARE!!!!! Know what you are getting into before they arrive and start work. If pricing had been disclosed before the appointment, I would NEVER have scheduled. I was told the pricing was on their website. Unaware they had a website nor was it mentioned before. Truly disappointed.
