Our experience with Turf--N-Oregon and Michael Hanson(President/Owner) Our 20 year old backyard required significant time to maintain, but provided very little enjoyment. The grass was often too damp for our kids to play on while weeds of every variety seemed to happily flourish. My wife and I decided to invest in making our backyard an outdoor living space. We wanted to eliminate our weekly lawn upkeep, chemicals and the constant weeding. Our work was done in West Linn, Oregon. For the record, we met with two other companies that offer artificial turf in the West Linn area. We learned that some companies the owner just sells and bids, then they hire a crew to do their installation. Like most people we like to know we received a fair price. Comparable spec/warranties on turf products with installation (apples to apples) from two other firms were either slightly more expensive or remarkably similar in price. Artificial turf is a very substantial investment. We learned that high end turf products are truly difficult to differentiate. Installation expertise and a solid commitment to the quality of the installation is what matters. We met Michael Hanson with Turf-N-Oregon by chance while he was performing an installation at another customer's home so we had the opportunity to see and hear about his work quality upfront. Our entire experience with Turf-N-Oregon from the initial consultation with Michael at our home to his post installation follow-up was exceptional. Michael was friendly, listened attentively to understand our needs, and patiently helped to educate us about artificial turf. Initially our plan was to do just a turf installation. Michael's consultation enabled us to see that we would need significantly more soil amendments and retention for best results. While these additions increased our overall project cost they truly made the difference in protecting our turf investment because Michael was committed to ensuring his work was of the highest quality, without exception. I was able to observe the preparation through final installation process while spending some time with Michael and his team. Michael is a business owner who personally does the work with his team.
