I stopped here while making the journey from Doncaster back home to Manchester for a quick bite to eat. The interior and concept remain indistinguishable from any other Nando's I've visited, so it felt familiar, even though I hadn't visited this particular location before. They were quite busy, as I visited on a weekend, so it did take longer than I would have liked for food to arrive, and to order. I had to order at the counter, as I have an allergy, the queuing system seemed quite messy with people just standing around in a semi-circle, there simply wasn't enough staff on the checkouts to cope, and it was moving very slowly. I ordered a Medium Chicken Butterfly with Peri-Salted Chips and Spicy Rice, which has become my go-to Nando's order. The chicken was cooked well and tasted good, and the chips were also seasoned well, however, the portion of the rice barely filled half the bowl, and it looked like it had been sat on, it didn't taste fresh, and it made me feel like I just had the scraps of rice before they put a new lot onto cook. I did find the tables to be way too close to each other, to the point, that it was almost impossible to stand up, allowing enough room to get out of the table, to leave, or to get water/cutely, without knocking into people. I think they could potentially do with removing some tables, as this would make the environment more comfortable, and perhaps ease the pressure on the kitchen, which appeared struggling to cope with demand. One of my main problems with Nando's is the fact they have discontinued their Mayonnaise and replaced it with a vegan mayonnaise alternative to be "more inclusive" despite being a meat restaurant... I had to pay an extra £1 to get their Perinaise instead, which is a peri-peri egg-based mayonnaise. Not the best Nando's I've been to as a whole, but A-OK for sure. 3*
