I have seasonal allergies so one of my friends referred me to Dr Gessay. I had no idea allergies could be helped with chiropractics, but I was willing to give it a try. From the moment I walked into the office until the time I left , I felt completely at ease. The space is clean and minimal but still very warm and inviting. As a life long runner, I was devastated when a dancing injury sidelined me (seemingly) indefinitely. After years of seeing different PTs and chiropractors and giving up on running, I tested the waters only to be met with a whole new slough of issues (because that's what happens when you turn 30 I guess). Now not only was my knee bothering me but my hip felt decidedly out of alignment -- and that's putting it lightly. So I hail mary-ed it and went to see Dr. Gessay to see if for some reason he might be able to help... and spoiler alert: He did. I'm running again. I could cry. Ryan takes his time, helps explain what's going on, and looks at the issue from a holistic level that I really appreciate. It's only been two sessions and I've already seen and felt improvement on my runs. The fact that I can even run at all is a testament to Ryan. I began seeing Dr. Ryan for chiropractic adjustments because of discomfort from an old gymnastics neck injury. I received great results within a short period of time but was pleasantly surprised with additional positive results. For the past 8 years I've experienced back and abdominal pain during my menstrual cycle. The pain kept me awake at night, disrupted my schedule and sometimes pain medication wasn't effective in reducing the discomfort. I asked my gynecologist for advice and was given muscle relaxers. Although it was an upgrade, planning to take a pill for the next 30+ years of my life didn't feel like a real solution. After just a few weeks of chiropractic visits the pain I experienced during my menstrual cycle reduced drastically. I went to Dr. Gessay for pain in my neck and lower back. It seems to be the same problem consistently but at times unbearable. Dr. Gessay was immediately able to identify the issue. He worked with me on some muscle movements that I can practice at home even to help alleviate some of the tension. His adjustments to my neck and middle back are what do the trick though.
