Best thing about Tulse Hill station: the guys in the coffee shop are really skilled at remembering what your regular coffee is. It's a nice touch in the morning.
Other Positives:
- Small station, not too busy
- Never more than a few people queuing at the single automated ticket machine
Negatives:
- It's in Zone 3
- They just installed new ticket barriers, in that moment the station lost a bit of it's charm
- Only one ticket machine
Places you can get to from Tulse Hill (based on memory, not fact):
London Bridge, Wimbledon (handy for the District line), Brighton, Gatwick, Luton, Croydon and Kilburn.
With two choices of cross-platform pedestrian routes (bridge or tunnel), the journey from coffee shop to platform can be tailored to whatever your mood and whatever the weather.
All in all, a reasonably pleasant start to my morning commute. read more
