My wife and I are in the restaurant business and we had tracked our master bedroom up really bad. Whatever we had on our work shoes from greasy restaurant floor got tracked right on to our light tan carpet floor. We gave Chris a call at Kleen Carpet Cleaning and he game out to clean our carpets and our carpet floors looks great. My experience with Zach's Refinishing has been wonderful. I got a few quotes from other companies…read morewhich were comparable in price but they mostly used the brush stroke method. Luckily I went with Zach's. They followed their advertised processing steps flawlessly. Zach initially took an old cabinet door to his workshop and brought it back refinished. I gave him the green light to go ahead. They peeled off the old damaged plastic coating on my 20 year old cabinets and painted them with the color I chose to a perfectly smooth finish. Better than the original factory finish. The cabinets were refurbished to perfection without any issues in a timely manner (2 days as promised). His work ethic and customer service was exceptional. I had him take an extra cabinet door to refinish when he as doing any white color so I could see the finished product. Beautiful, it looked like a factory finish. I specifically requested Benjamin Moore as I had an issue with having the color color matched. He used PPG instead and said it was the same colors added to it. That may be true, but the base coat is always different. So I have a sterile, cold white instead of a creamy warm white. The inside Of the cabinets were not covered, just the front edge taped so I have overspray on the inside of the cabinet sides and shelf bracket holders. Some drawer pulls are installed crooked, one cabinet door does not close fully, several drawers do not glide like they did, one drawer is actually in the wrong place as it has dividers and I could not change it as the pull is a different size. Some trim pieces feel like sandpaper. When I showed him the sample door he painted and said that was the finish I expected, he said that door was just painted, it was not sanded and didn't have the topcoat on it. Really? And that's the sample? He said I asked for a satin finish and not semi gloss which is true, but I expected it to be like the sample and if he knew it would look like flat paint, he should have told me. He did do another coat to make he finish have some sheen. All I can say is my cabinets are white. Certainly not the job I expected after reading all the glowing reviews on thumbtack.
