It was a two day fishing trip, it was great almost got our daily limit the first day and got our daily limit on the 2nd day before 9am after leaving the boat dock around 5:30. It was a great experience with the captain and his wife were fantastic along with Eric, the working shipmate that did an excellent job setting the fishing lines.

He is very knowledgeable of the area and is able to get on the fish with out having to fish in the big pack of boats. That alone made the trip great we were out by ourselves and didn't have to worry about anything when we hooked up to fish other than getting them on the boat. We hooked up to about 15 fish throughout the day and we were able to get 10 of them on the boat. Before we got off the boat our group was already planning our trip for next year with him.

Lots of folks stop here throughout the day for meal breaks. It's peaceful and convenient. A fish fry restaurant, Mr. Mike's, shares the parking lot, and Shannon's Hot Dogs food truck is usually here for lunch on weekdays, in case you haven't brought any food with you. There is also a campground, North Bay, farther down the shoreline behind the bowling alley. The lake itself is not really useable. It's not safe for swimming due to the severe algae bloom in the water. But you can still walk out on the pier and stare at the lake. So that's nice too!
