Damn this hotel is good looking! From the art hung on the walls, to the colour coordinated book shelf on the first floor, everything is very, very beautifully designed. You really couldn't ask for more from the look of the hotel, it's slick and urban but still has a warm homely feel.
Unfortunately noise really is an issue. Chur Burger on the ground floor plays very loud music, and has an alfresco area that is below one side of the hotel, this is also the entrance area to the lift to the rooftop bar. Maybe I'm just getting old, or perhaps I should have realised this hotel is obviously a party style hotel and was best not to book here on weekends if I wasn't partying...
My room was on the second floor and it was noisy, mostly with people talking in the alfresco area of Chur below. The lovely staff moved me to a quieter room on the fifth floor. One of the friendly staff members told me that they were currently looking in to how to make the rooms quieter. I suggest that when you book make a request to be in a quiet room if you're staying there on the weekend. read more
