So it was super convenient for him. Our room was in the highest floor and so we also had access to the Level lounge on the 26th floor which was great. Nice views, seating and snacks and drinks all day. We only went there maybe 2 or 3 times but each time was great! The staff there was great very friendly and he also gave some good recommendations for restaurants in the area. The breakfast buffet every morning was a treat! Extensive, had anything and everything you could want to eat. From eggs, bacon sausage to savory dishes, to toast, to pastries and croissants to meats and cheeses and fruit. And of course all kinds of coffee and teas. The have outdoor seating too and so we had breakfast sitting outside most days which was really nice. Out stay also covered dinner which we had the first night. After that we wanted to try restaurants in the area or wherever we were sightseeing. There is a bar in the lobby too and we had lunch there a couple of times which was pretty good as well. The lobby area in general was very nice great lighting and decor with plenty of comfortable seating. Room was very comfortable and the amenities were great especially the skincare products. Parking at the hotel costs €28 per day, but if you don't mind walking a few minutes, it's usually possible to find free street parking nearby. Meliá is one of Spain's largest hotel chains, with properties across the world, including countries such as China and Tanzania. Their mobile app makes booking and payments very easy, and it's clear they're building their own travel ecosystem. The location was great for a beach getaway as you open right up to a stunning fountain as you head to the beach. There are a number of restaurants all within walking distance and many of the main stops are a quick taxi or drive away. Las Arenas can be expensive, but it is certainly worthwhile in the offseason (we went in early October), where you can still get beach and pool weather, the property is less crowded, and prices are a steal!
