Great planning experience. The over 30 plus employee team at TruNorth helped my wife and I get clear on how and when we could retire. Down to how much I need to have saved and how much I could spend each year throughout retirement. They are very goals focused and plan driven. Wouldn't work with anyone else. read more

NO SERVICE AFTER THE "SALE". Matt's presentations were great (I attended 2 of them), however, after most of my retirement assets were rolled over to TruNorth the service really dropped off. I had a relatively small IRA that I needed them to assist in rolling over. They wanted to fill out the form regarding where to roll it over to. They incorrectly filled out the form TWICE! When I inquired about when it would be rolled over I was passed from one person to the next with promises to follow up. The second time the (notarized) form was hand delivered on July 1. A couple weeks later was told to expect the rollover to occur July 24 then the 31st. When I inquired again in mid August I was told that the person responsible no longer worked with TruNorth and the new person promised to follow up. She did not- actually she forgot all about it. Even my advisor Byron, did not keep his promise to follow up! I was notified in Sept that I was not longer able to access information regarding that account online because there were so many errors. TruNorth neglected to fill out the very portion of the form that they requested to do - simply check a box saying it was a rollover and where is was to be rolled over to. At that point I lost confidence and good will toward TruNorth. I had enough of all the broken promises and being passed from one person to the next. Bottom line, either TruNorth is understaffed, incompetent, just don't care or all of above. THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE INVESTING WITH TRUNORTH! read more
