The tall ceilings, vintage ambiance and upkeep of the building really will transform you back to another time period. The wedding reception was magical from start to finish. I've never visited here to file paperwork, so know that this review comes completely from the perspective of an event space. It was so memorable, lovely and still the best wedding I've ever been to. You can build up the space in so many ways, and if you can find the right vendors you can create a stunning atmosphere that still somehow feels intimate in all its massiveness. One fair warning if you're using it as an event space: the acoustics are a hot mess. Do a lot of pre-planning. Even at the most well-intentioned moments it was very hard to hear. You can't dispute this spot as a true Cleveland gem and a must-see on an architectural crawl of Downtown Cleveland.

I was at this space working a wedding, and let me tell you, the wedding was so well done in the space. To anyone considering a wedding spot, checkout the Old Courthouse and be prepared to book well in advance! Right by Browns Stadium, the Old Courthouse is a worthy location for any visitor who wants a classic piece within Cleveland!

I was here at the Cuyahoga County Justice Center for a meeting on the 14th floor on Tuesday…read more06/26/018. This was my first time in the building. The building is large. You will find the Cleveland Municipal Court, Cleveland Housing Court, Cuyahoga County Clerk of Courts (Civil and Criminal Divisions only), and the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court (general division). I'm not sure if other city departments or businesses have office space here but I bet so. Street parking is very limited so arrive early as I should have or take a bus/taxi here. I parked underground inside what looked like the Hilton Hotel parking lot. Since I parked underground, I was able to enter a Justice Center tunnel and enter the Justice Center through the back way which was nice because there is less traffic underground. Normally, people enter through the front entrance and go through airport type security. I was checked by a security guard in the parking garage after I parked my car and begun walking towards the Justice center tunnel. So, it was a smooth walk in as I'm sure there are lines for security through the main entrance. Once inside, I asked for directions to the 14th floor. A security man at the desk was nice enough to help me. There are 2 sets of elevators. The second set goes from floor 11 until about floor 23. I was shocked to see how LONG the lines were for the elevator going up from floor 11 onwards. I guess everyone was going to court. Luckily, I only stayed in line for 5 minutes otherwise, I may have been late to my meeting/interview. It would be nice if they had someone standing by all the elevators while controlling the traffic of people. This is my 124th Yelp review overall. 78 reviews for 2018. I am aiming for 100 reviews in 2018. Reviewed on 26 June 2018.

The Pittsburgh City-county building is home to many Allegheny county services including the office…read moreof the mayor as well as other public records and the city treasurer. On the steps is a statue of the late Richard Caliguiri and inside the main lobby is a beautiful vaulted ceiling with artifacts all around. You must pass through security to enter. Two of the most used offices are that of the register of wills and the marriage license bureau. The latter is the focus of this review. I came here after learning that my marriage license issued before 911 is no longer acceptable for documentation for proof of name change. This is especially important if you want to get the new PA REAL ID and don't have or intend to get a passport. Oldie wed brides this information is directed mostly for your benefit. Some of us went in the late 90s and not only got the half sheet that was signed by the officiant but also spent money to get a single sealed certified copy. If you have either or both of these items then file them away. I was told they are now outdated. It must be triple sealed. I walked into the office, explained what I needed as was politely asked the year of my marriage and the groom's name. She didn't need anything else. She found my record and told me it would be ready in about 10 minutes for a minimal fee of $10.00. I was then asked to sit in the main waiting room where some happy couples were applying for their licenses for their upcoming nuptials. This same office also serves as a passport office so in case you wish to get that instead it lists the items you need to apply. After 10 minutes I was called and received my tripled sealed copy after I paid the $10.00. Like a deed title the seals are embossed in a triangle shape on the cover page. The 2nd page is the exact copy of that half sheet of paper I was given when I got married and the last page is a copy of my marriage license application. Many people who were married before 911 "assume" their old licenses are still good because they worked to change your name on all legal documents including your social security card. That is not the case any longer. If you don't wish to come down then it can be done on line however, if you were married before 1996 they charge a $4.00 surcharge for a document search in addition to the fee and it takes weeks to get. One of the difficulties with getting to the City County building is that you have to walk a few blocks for public parking or public transportation. Located on Grant St downtown the County Office building sits behind it and across the street is the County courthouse.
