I have been meaning to write a review for Isaacson Tax & Accounting for awhile now..but it slipped…read moremy mind. I was delightfully reminded today when I received an email for SOMEONE ELSE'S TAX RETURN for the SECOND TIME THIS YEAR. Yes, you read that right, this is the second time they have emailed me about someone else's refund/information/ect. My experience in 2018 is still being passed around my family & friend group because it's so unbelievable. I had my first big year (2017) of basically full time-freelance money on top of my full-time job, so I thought I would seek a professional's help. I was super organized with passing off/organizing my paperwork & expenses, but was greeted with 21 questions/judgement on why I "did hire an employee to manage all my stuff" (again, my first and only year I have done that much work) I stuck it out with her office though and was transferred to a really nice man who put my return together. After I sent a payment to the IRS because I owed, I was NEVER invited in to go over my return in person or sent my return paperwork via mail. The only contact I received after payment was 2 notifications saying they needed to "extend" my return. As time went on, I was planning a wedding, and grabbing my return copies completely slipped my mind... Until 2019, when I decided to do my taxes with my husband. We found out that my taxes that I hired Cindy to do WERE NEVER FILED. The IRS told me to file a complaint. I called Cindy's office multiple times, leaving multiple messages asking for my return & what happened...she NEVER returned my call. I finally got ahold of her and she was extremely angry and rude on that phone claiming "she was too busy to deal with this and would look into finding my paperwork later". A month went by, as tax season came to almost an end, and I was able to reach the lady at the front desk who seemed embarrassed by the whole situation and pulled my paperwork within 30 minutes. I drove up to the office, where Cindy greeted me with my paperwork acting like nothing was wrong. You know, I was only picking up my 2017 tax return paperwork in 2019 that was never filed. No acknowledgement... There is no excuse she could use for this experience. If I could give 0-stars I would. I am sad I didn't pass this information on sooner, but thanks to an email meant for someone else - I was able to write my review.

My fiancé called and left a voicemail message, which she did not respond to. He called the next day, and she answered and said that she thought she had returned all of her calls. Even with Covid-19 they were able to access my books and speak with me completely over the phone. They also let me know about a lot of options that I had for tax write-offs that I was not previously aware of. I would definitely recommend them for anyone that has a business and doesn't know exactly where to start. I asked them over 10 emails if they could give me the month and they have yet to say they could. So they actually wait until the very last day to file. This happened to me. I also believe I went through 4 different CPAs from my original chat in March to Now September 2023. Don't believe the hype. Find a local CPA who actually cares. This is a horrible service and company.

*****10 stars***** Highly recommend!…read more It's hard to believe but I've been with Alisa Na, CPA for over 25 years now! I have incredible peace of mind, knowing that whether I have questions about my personal or business taxes, I can rely on the expertise of Alisa, Ken Endo and the rest of the amazing staff. A lot of people only think about taxes when April 15th rolls around, which is fine if all you file is a simple 1040EZ, but if you have a small business, side hustles, rental income, retirement funds, stocks and/or a myriad of other things in life that may effect your taxes, you NEED to have a knowledgeable accountant who is up to date on the latest changes to tax rules, deductions and regulations. If you ever have the misfortune of being audited, you better hope you didn't use a part time temporary HR Block contractor or DYI'ed on TurboTax. With an experienced accountant on your side like Alisa, I know I'll be on good hands because I know she has a full understanding of the law and my tax filing history. As someone with an overloaded schedule, a pet peeve is having to call/email countless times or playing phone tag. It's great knowing that someone is at the office to answer the phone and I'll always get the information I need quickly. So pick up the phone. Call Alisa Na, CPA now.

Before finding out about Jessica, I called up all these other tax agencies and spoke with people that didn't sound like they really knew what they were talking about and many times gave me conflicting information. When I spoke with Jessica, she was able to give me good answers to my questions that I was able to understand, and also gave me great suggestions for my business! I called her probably about 3 times during those first few weeks, and was worried she would get annoyed with my questions, but she never did and always seemeed happy to hear from me. She helped me out with my state taxes, which literally, took maybe 2 minutes to complete. Wow! Talk about fast in-and-out service. I was also really impressed with how neat and clean her office was, and how she could pull up answers to question in minutes either on her computer or in some manuals she had. That last tax professional I saw about 10 years ago, had paperwork splattered everywhere, and had clients constantly going in & out of a very tiny office, where everyone could hear your personal information. I was so horrified by that experience & the fact that person bungled up my taxes, that it took me 10 years to go see another tax professional. I feel so lucky that I finally found Jessica, who I am totally confident in her ability to do my taxes properly and that I will get the best deduction I can get with her help. She just recently helped me with my federal taxes and again, it was smooth sailing. I was in & out in about an hour (unbeatable!), her fees are very reasonable, and I would highly recommend her to any of my friends. Getting an appointment is quick and easy, and you can also reach her either by phone or email, whichever is your preferred method of communication.
