The check was even drawn on a Chase account. The local branch manager made insulting remarks about the training of the supervisors at the national number and insisted it was their "policy" to require us to open a business account. All to make a simple deposit into our savings account. Needless to say, after 31 years of doing business with this bank, we are outta there. I brought 2 witnesses with me who are in their mid 80's. Upon entering the main lobby area, an aggressive customer informed me that he was in front of me. I mentioned to him that I had an appointment - he became very aggressive with me. As soon as Desiree's door opened (she was with another client), this aggressive man ran into here office and slammed the door closed. Upon seeing this, a branch employee notified the manager who came over promptly to settle this man down. This obnoxious man continues to try to get in my face and the manager professionally told him that if he didn't leave, she would have to call the police. The staff was so NICE and kept apologizing for this horrible man's behavior. Most recent example is just yesterday. Pulled into 5/3 branch ,Port Charlotte Florida drive up window, in my $600,000 Rolls-Royce Cullinan , and having approximately $1,500,000 in my account at that branch, I asked for a $5000 cash withdrawal. After several minutes I was informed that they didn't have $5000 in that branch they could only give me $2000. I said OK give me $2000. After a few minutes they said fine and once again I waited. At this point and after furnishing them with both a federal photo ID and my drivers license I was asked to verify who I was by giving her my Social Security number and my birthdate. Never have I been ask of a bank to furnish that information at a drive up window. In order to get the capital I needed I had to leave that branch and just make it to my Wells Fargo location to get the remaining $3000. Today I will drastically reduce or close my account at fifth third. Being the only individual have to drive up windows during that period of time it still took me over 20 minutes to collect my $2000. Find another bank.
