I've had Tru-Green for a number of years & my yard looks great . Before moving in , the yard i knew would need alot of attention. So after talking with various customers who had Tru-Green, it was then i decided to call them & couldn't be more please at the great results i have experienced. The Specialist are courteous, knowledgeable, & care about my yard. Also pricing is reasonable . As for scheduling, its very easy to get an appointment. It's been 2 months and we got mail AGAIN, we have requested upwards of 7 times to not be contacted at all whatsoever and they sent us mail again. If you want to be harassed for over a year or two work with them once, or save ourselves the trouble and don't work with them ever. And Truegreen, before you waste my time commenting to give you our info to take us off the mailing list, ​we have, every single time, we have, so now I'm just telling people how you harass others who don't want to work with you, and I will continue to do every single time you send us anything because this should have stopped when we canceled services the first time. read more

I canceled my service last year after they destroyed my backyard. Instead of me causing a big deal about it. I simply told them to never come back to my house and that should've been it. Today they decided to come out to my house with two guys who walked my entire property. They were cussing and swearing at each other, the entire time making observations about my big ass dogs in the backyard, which they were not even outside. I stepped outside to ask them what they were doing considering I already canceled my service and they immediately got an attitude with me and tried to argue with me. I'm not so kindly asked them to leave my property no less than three times before they finally left so if I was anyone reading this, I would never hire this company to come out to your property unless you want some Thugs to service your yard. 0 stars. DONT TRUST. They WILL continue service even after you cancel. They will charge you for it. They will run you through the ringer to take care of their mess up. And then, the cherry on top! They WILL harass you, calls, texts, emails and physical mail. It will not matter how many people you talk to to get them to leave you alone, its been over a year, I spoke to some just 3 weeks ago and I still got mail today. This review has nothing to do with TruGreen lawn care service as far as actual lawn care or tree and shrub which I also have. I'm talking about their customer service line which, no matter what phone number you dial related to them will provide you with the same menu options and same "customer service" information. As of this writing I've called TruGreen "customer service" 8 times with the same result each time. The result? A correction did not occur. The problem? Where do I start. First off the square footage calculated from a Google satellite photo did not include all the new shrubs, trees and wildflower garden on the property. I printed a photo then measured the property broken down in segments exactly the way TruGreen does. (Front, Back, Sides) The first service I requested online was for Tree and Shrub. When the specialist came to my property I talked to him then observed him while he treated all the trees and shrubs on the property. He was very thorough and did a complete job. A week later I went online to add lawn service and maintenance. The square footage for my property was listed 3,000 square feet more than I calculated. My work was measured twice. This is when my 8 phone calls and counting began discussing the issue with a customer service rep, one claiming to have 20+ years experience with TruGreen. That gentleman calculated the square footage while discussing particulars with me and came to a number very close to my own. We agreed to the number, added the service and I was told the square footage would change on the website. NOTE: The TruGreen website and mobile app do not show the same information. It's not apples to apples but apples to Volkswagons. My most recent phone call came from a number supposedly related to TruGreen's headquarters but it only gave you the same "customer service" menu all other numbers provide. When I reached someone I gave them most of the information I wrote above, she listened attentively then provided with me a number to help resolve my issues. I dialed the number and got the same "customer service" menu all other numbers provide. As far as I know TruGreen doesn't have a technical service phone number, their website has number listed for "Website" but calling provides you with a message, "Sorry, we're having technical issues." Indeed!! Marketing yourself and steering customers to purchase more services is as old as marketing itself. The famed Chicago advertising guru, Leo Burnett, used the phrase, 9 times, saying your message needed to be observed and listened to at least 9 times to sink in. TruGreen has learned that lesson well but my problem is unchanged and I'm in the proverbial circular firing squad as far as technical service goes. To add a service I have to call "customer service" but I'd have to go through all the issues concerning square footage with no way of verifying the calculation reflects the invoicing. The old adage, "Trust but verify", applies but that can't be done. NOTE: This property is located in NE Ohio. UPDATE: After I posted the above review I received a phone call from the local TruGreen branch in Ohio. In the end the person set up an appointment for a property evaluation the next day "before noon." I was up at 7 am, waited past noon with one more no show. Yes, one more because the lawn treatment for the previous day was a no show as well. No message, no warning, just a no show. She told me they usually don't come out personally to do these evaluations yet a "property evaluation" section popped up on my account. I suppose she was correct, they can't do a property evaluation if they don't keep their appointments. I called one of the many available TruGreen phone numbers which will lead you to the same menu and chose cancel service. The young lady who answered proceeded to keep interrupting me then apologizing when I complained about her interruptions. After spending a good part of July dealing with TruGreen, attempting to received a property evaluation, demonstrating why their method of measuring your property with outdated satellite images was inaccurate, having them tell my I'm incorrect (which I'm not), missing appointments and service calls I said enough is enough. This company has a huge communication problem within their depts and the customer. My yard looks horrible I've got weeds grubs insects and mushrooms. We moved here in August this year had them out to treat for weeds and grubs apparently I was charged for services and nothing was applied to my yard. I am beyond annoyed. read more

If I could give less stars I would. Very disappointed in their service, you have been canceling my applications since July 14th. My yard is a mess full of weeds. It's almost impossible to talk to someone. I prepaid my service and not getting my money's worth. At this point I will not be a returning customer. It seems like this company is getting worse each year. My lawn looked like CRAP this year. I have large brown patches in my back yard. I called and they came out to evaluate the problem. Said they could not find any bug problems, but would treat the lawn, at no cost, and then after 3 weeks if I didn't see any improvement to call & they would come back out & retreat, again at no charge. After 3 weeks, there was no change. I called and they said they would be back out. No one has come back out, no call, nothing... I called back & said I wanted to talk with Tony because I think I'm going to cancel my service. She told me she would have him call me back. Have not received any call. read more

The mosquito service is great! However the lawn care is the worst! They treat your lawn then say if you have any issues with your lawn, call and they'll retreat and retreat and retreat and retreat! Unfortunately with all this treatment, there were still weeds and brown patches. The over seeding was a huge waste of money. Even after reseeding the over-seeding, I had to seed my own yard after 3 months the when nothing happened. We did see a different at all with the tree and shrub service. So we are down to just mosquito service and all the rest has been cancelled. They lost quite a bit of business just at this one house. read more

First off, my lawn looks fine, so no complaints there. Unfortunately though, the company has great challenge with dependability, specifically in the fall. I have tried year after year to have six services performed each year, plus a winterization service. In EVERY year the company forgets to do the final two services. I'm probably not going to renew with them for 2020 due to their negligence. I also asked for a call from the supervisor to discuss this chronic issue. The supervisor chose to not call me. I miss my old Highpoint Lawn service which was bought by TruGreen. read more

This is the worst LawnCare company in the business. They skimp on appilcation so what happens is your neighbors lawn and everyone on your streets lawn looks better than yours. They spread fertilizer on your lawn from something you would buy at Lowes. Most companies have high tech/commercial equipment. I unfortunately inherited TruGreen this year bcz they bought out the company that did a great job. I have weeds in my back yard that fields that was never treated have less weeds. They should be banned from imitating a LawnCare company. read more
