Horrible service! Stay away from them. Here is my story - I signed a contract with Trugreen so they will treat my lawn since 2023. At least three different times in a year they sent me a notice saying a technician is on the way to do the the service (treat my lawn). I waited at home at all times, but the technician never showed up. The same day they sent me another email notice which says "TruGreen has completed your Free Service". This happened all three times. On the first incident, I called customer service and told them the technician never showed up. After they put me on hold for a few minutes they told me the technician went to a wrong address. They scheduled for another day, but they didn't show up again. Again I received another email which says "TruGreen has completed your Free Service". I called customer service again, they apologized and said would schedule for another day. I received another notice which says the technician is on the way, but never showed up. I called customer service again and told them the story (including the technicians name who was supposed to come), they hang up the phone on me and never reached out to me. My last incident was a week ago. Terrible service and the worst customer service I have ever seen. At this point, I want a full refund. I would never recommend TruGreen for a lawn service. read more

very nice folks.the packages the sales offer and the service they can deliver are two entirely different things. they promised me a green lawn. if you have no patios and a flat lawn, they can deliver seed planting. if you have a patio and terraced lawn like I do, they just drop weed killer one month, seed on ground the following month. the technicians told me the package I paid for was not what I needed. read more

This is my lawn after 9 treatments. My property looks horrible, well my lawn, and now they have wasted a full season of trying to get it into shape. We started in March , I called to see if I could get someone to visit to analyze, take soil samples ..... nothing. They just keep sending these guys who have no background or basic knowledge in lawn care. I make this statement because they tell me this when questioned! I am told of the complaints, from other customers, by these very men. The tree care package is also a scam, this tree was treated........ as they say fool me twice. I just want people to know they are a not what they advertise to be, DO NOT wast your money. Extremely poor customer service. The chemicals killed my once beautiful lawn, so I instructed Trugreen to hold off on anymore chemicals until an assessment is completed by a supervisor. So the company received the message because the service was put on hold. That same message requested a supervisor. I was promised a call in 24 hours. The next call I was given a date the supervisor would drop by. Well that was a NO SHOW, NO CALL. So, I placed a third call to the call center. it's been a month and multiple messages left and no response. My account is paid in full for the season. True Green has ruined my lawn. The killed the weeds, but waited too long to reseed. When I complained, they did a poor job at fixing the problem. Now I have major muddy areas. I have complained to customer service, but they don't listen. They are supposed to come back for an evaluation. This has not happened. They are unresponsive and difficult to work with. My neighbors comment that they should be ashamed of putting their sign on our lawn, because it is the worst lawn on our street. Do not use them. read more

hired them to complete aeration and overseeing last fall (10/21) as a one time service. hired a new servicer this year. Trugreen sent out a technicia, without any notice, and completed another aeration and overseeing on Monday 8/8. I did not authorize this service or request it. Technician left a handwritten note in my door saying that I would get an email. they immediately charged my credit card that I used for payment last year $327.00. I have made multiple calls to them and each time, I was promised the local manger would call me back and I have yet to receive a call. Completing a service that I did not agree to and charging me is completely unethical. furthermore , they do not seem to understand that aeration and seeding in the beginning of August, during a heat wave is a useless service as the seed will never germinate. I fully expect this company to refund me for this service as it is the right thing to do, something. The customer service rep I spoke told me is 100% accurate, but the manager either does not care, or is too much of a coward to call me. Absolutely terrible service from the Warminster branch. They did not do any analysis before starting service. Sprayed pre-emergent in clearly marked areas with fresh seed. Sent the same inept employee several times and then continued to come for non scheduled appointments. Usually they would spend about 1-3 minutes sloppily spraying the yard and leave. After finally speaking with a manger, I was offered a lower rate to make up for the expenses I have from the first service. Then, TruGreen cancelled my account even though I had someone out to my house a week AFTER they cancelled. They told me there is no record of lower prices and basically would give a few dollars off per month. Just a terrible experience from start to finish. I highly recommend using one of the other companies that actually cares about their clients. read more

Save yourself the headache and the heartache. The premise of Trugreen is that they kill your lawn with their treatments and then you pay to have them restore your lawn. Our journey started this May and after two treatments we were left with dead grass and a muddy swamp in our backyard. At the advice of real lawn care professionals, we patiently waited until the fall to have our landscapers come out to do the aeration and seeding on October 6. We were finally starting to see our lawn return. Today, Trugreen showed up to my home unannounced and uninvited. They aerated and dumped seed on the fresh grass we had waited so long for. Not only did they pull up plugs of new grass but they dragged their old malfunctioning equipment across our property causing even more damage. I signed up for TrueGreen services in July2020. The contract was for my front and back lawn. The technicians never went around my back to treat the weeds, they only completed weed treatment in the front. TrueGreen has been charging me for a service that was not completed. I called customer service to complain two weeks ago, the customer service agent stated that she will send another technician out to redo the weed control and to complete the weed control in my back. When the technician came to do the services on Sept 22, I was charged. TrueGreen is assisting that I agreed to pay 50% for the services. I have every incident on camera and audio. They still will not refund me my money. This company is HORRIBLE and have HORRIBLE customer service. Please be aware. They lie about treatment that they never conducted. Please make sure you're home to watch what services are being completed. read more

This company is a fraud. Do not use them. The service guy decided to show up at 7:15 am on a Saturday. Given the early morning, I was able to watch him from an upstairs window. I watched this guy drive across my lawn (by the way, they service about 3 acres of a 7 acre parcel) to just put tire tracks in the lawn. This is done to show they were there. I watched him turn around on my driveway and literally hang out for five minutes before driving, once again, across the property to show "he was there." I waited for him to pack up his equipment and close up the truck when I confronted him. I asked him first if he was finished. He said he was. I told him that I watched him from the upstairs window and noted that he clearly didn't do the job properly. He then pointed to the ONE set of tire tracks in the lawn. I knew exactly what he was doing. I asked why he didn't apply the fertilizer to the other two and half acres that I pay for. I then proceeded to tell him that he's a cheat, his company is stealing from me and that I refused to pay for his two tire marks across the lawn. I watched the full 10 minutes and always suspected they did this, but caught them red-handed. Most of us can't be home when they apply these services. Trust me- after watching this guy literally drive across the lawn and take no more than 10 minutes, I'm done. This isn't bad service. This is FRAUD. I've registered a complaint with the BBB as well. I called my credit card company and blocked their charges because they randomly charge costs to your account with these "applications." They don't maintain customer service hours on weekends (again, when most people are home). You will be sorry to use these guys. It's really disgusting that people blatantly take advantage like this. Another unhappy new customer here who will never deal with this company again. Contracted with them for six treatments plus aeration in Sept 2018 and encountered a problem with unmarked sprinkler heads at the time of aeration. This resulted in delay and significant expense to us which TruGreen representatives told us they would "make right" a few times. After at least five calls and some frustrating "negotiations"/conversations over a few months, the local company eventually refunded our un-used account balance and would not redress our complaint. I do not understand how they can remain viable as a company with such poor customer service. We paid a lot and received so little, and do advise anyone considering signing on with TruGreen to keep looking elsewhere. read more

My lawn looks worse now than before they started coming to my property. I have dead lawn where I use to have grass. I have huge weed spots where I use to have grass. The one thing that remains constant with Trugreen is that they keep asking me to buy more products. I just had them out to come up with a plan to get my lawn back. We have been TruGreen customers for over 10 years we have seen specialists come and go..some really good ones who were passionate about what they did and some really bad ones. In the past we have caught workers not fulfilling the complete job like fertilizing the front and not the back. We have complained and they sent them back and complete the job. Never hearing from a manager or owner. Most recently, yesterday I happened to be home and we had a service tech come out for the tree and shrub application which is an extra option we bought. He arrived at 11:27 and was finished at 11:34. When he arrived he knocked on the door I answered and he said he was going to do the treatment. That was it. I noticed he did the front and sides but never stepped foot to the rear of the property. As i went outside he was gone with just leaving the ticket in the door saying how nice it was to talk to me. I checked the security cameras we have and it confirmed he didn't do the rear of the property. 4 calls to the customer service number later and all I got was promises he would return. Promises the manager/owner Dave Hite would call. Promises they would take care of it ASAP. The customer service told me several times they sent a message to the driver/specialist to return. They never did return and never even bothered to return my call. After 10 years of paying my bill on time they couldn't be bothered to call me I wasted a whole day waiting around for them to fulfill their obligation and they never did Needless to say I will spend my hard earned money elsewhere. I cancelled the service on this property and our property in N Cape May. With so many options out there I am sure we will find a more customer service oriented lawn care business to work with us. read more

Very disappointed in our first year with TruGreen. On my initial call I had communicated that our rear yard had brown patches from where our dog would urinate. I was informed a lime treatment would help with this and so I added it to our plan, at a cost of $51. After our first treatment I noticed the lime was not done so called to ask why, only to discover it had NOT been added to my plan. I was informed it would be scheduled and this was early August. We are now mid September and I am still calling to ask why my lime treatment has not been done. Customer service is terrible with no fixed date for treatment given, so Trugreen are on their last warning before I pull the plug and get my money back. My lawn does not look any better so far either. Better off doing it yourself! read more

I setup Mosquito services and 2mths have gone by without receiving the first application. I continue to get rescheduled. On Friday 6/29 I was scheduled, but the tech never showed. I was told multiple times by support they will be showing and the tech will call me. No calls, no communication, no show. I called 6/30 and communicated the no-show and support said she would escalate to owner/GM. Logical thinking I would move to Monday schedule given the tech's no show on Friday but instead I'm being pushed back another week??!! Delays occur, I understand, but that means the schedule has to change and there is ripple effect impact (it's why scheduling is so important). I've called multiple times on Mon 7/2 and continue to be told by support that the mgr/GM will contact me...8hrs later, nothing. Very bad customer experience...very bad logistics/scheduling process...very bad communication. Not sure if this is consistent across all branches, but the Warminster branch GM should really take a look at his/her customer support and processes. I won't be holding my breath that I'll even receive a follow up. read more

No stars. TruGreen is a rip off! Charged me 7 weed treatments at $111 a shot and had the guy come out because after 7 treatments there were weeds everywhere! He even acknowledged it didn't work. This is a money making scheme! After inspecting lawn, promised 2 free treatments and they never showed up. Don't hire this company. They showed up to aerate and seed in August. Ground was hard as rock and they came with a machine that couldn't possibly handle 1.75 acres. I sent them away to come back with more equipment and to re-spray. I have been using Scott's / Trugreen for the last 10 years, I started in 2009. The last 2 years have been problematic, last year I paid in advance to get a modest discount, would not do that again. Service was sporadic with poor results with several call-backs. This year (2019) also had issues, technician would be come out in the rain and treat with broad weed killer which you should wait 24 hours before watering to keep the chemical on the lawn. Questioned the technician, he knew it was wrong but management directed him that he had to hit all of his stops (rain or shine). Managements answer, if the customer is not happy, they can call for a repeat of service. Also this year, the services were not on a regular schedule, had service 7/9 then the next 9/24, missed August the hottest part of the summer and my lawn suffered. Now in the Fall they are catching-up with treatments 2 weeks apart (same product) to catch-up on their billings. Their products should last 4-6 weeks, treatments 2 weeks apart makes no sense for the home owner. Overall, the company is too focused on generating revenue and not on the health of your lawn. We all want a nice green lawn, need to find a contractor that shares that goal! read more

Not happy. They did a treatment with fertilizer and I now have 9 large burn marks in the lawn. Their solution is to put down some seed and have me water every day. The Warminster TruGreen is terrible. Robert Piccarello came out to service my mothers lawn about 1/2 acre and he was done in less than three minutes. She physically watched him walk around the perimeter of the backyard and said he was done. She confronted him and he said he did the entire yard. After she said, I watch you walk the perimeter, he then said, we are just spraying for weeds today. She said, I have purple violets growing all over my yard. Robert said, I'm running low on chemicals (at 830am). Do you want me to put the dry stuff down he asked. After speeding through the back yard, he said once again, I'm done. She asked well did you even do the front yard. He asked of she wanted the dry in the front yard too. She said, I just want you to do your job and what we are paying for. I called TruGreen and asked to have a manger call me back...Still waiting after 6 days. The service representative told me they would send someone out next week to redo the lawn. They showed up the next day, another person and did the yard again. Then after a brief conversation, Robert gets out of the truck and comes to the door too. He is arguing in front of the other guy the yard was done right the first time. Cant wait to see what happens with the lawn now with multiple treatments in random spots will do. If you have this company service your lawn, WATCH them. They do the bare minimums then lie when confronted. The need to go out of business, and they will...one customer at a time. Had them for years and never complained but finally had enough. My lawn looks more like the before pictures not the after treatment. I call to complain in early fall last year and they promise me a full aeration and seeding, so their technician shows up when all the leaves are on my grass and in just some spots puts seeds on my lawn, no full aeration and seeding. I call to complain and then they promise this service in the Spring, same thing happened but without the fall leaves. I call again spoke with at least six people, finally a manager promises me to send me a proposal and drop my prices, this never happened. I officially cancelled them and now I am getting phone calls daily and not one person is aware of my history. They stink for service. But I told them I would think about it and said I will be in touch and they have since called my house 4 more times today between 2-6pm. This is on the verge of harassment. Nelsen Rice - 6883 Performed the Hort Plus Service and even though several of my Azaleas bushes were almost gone (dead) from non care, he called me and gave me good advise. I mulched them and cut some of the dead branches off, not all, I will do that after the blooms are gone. The color is rich and so pretty, I can't wait till they come back to how they use to look, he said maybe a couple of years. This year they are still outstanding, just small and miss shaped. But then again it was mostly dirt, and now I have dark green grass with some bare spots.
