This Company CAN NOT be trusted. Just be Very Careful how you pay them and how much. Monitor your checking account IF you pay by CHECK. Monitor your Credit Card IF you pay by Card. Watch for the little lies they tell you. Monitor the service they provide. IF possible record their activity at your home. Again, this company Can Not be Trusted under any circumstances. Terrible. In January, I paid over $700 up front for nine treatments. The weeds and moss growing in the front yard are still present. During the summer, when I noticed the yard still looked the same, I expressed my concern. They came by one day and left a note pretty much blaming poor drainage and the note also stated that I--not them--needed to "rake the moss up so grass could grow." Of course they didn't tell me this in January when I purchased the plan. I think at this point the nine treatments are finished and it's the same. No follow-up call. Nothing. I'd rather not even use anyone at this point and just let it stay the same. I guess the plan is to take your money and blame YOU when things don't improve. read more

Just wanted to share my current experience with TruGreen services. Signed up for a nine treatment plan earlier this year. Today was our third session. Where to begin... To start, they show up with an unprofessional appearance. Saggy pants and a T-shirt[not even company shirt] with large holes in it. They were on the phone the entire time of the service. A personal call was my guess by the use of curse words being used. It was supposed to be a full lawn treatment and looked more like a spot treatment. But, they were on the phone, so i can see how they may have missed some spots‍. They even missed a complete strip of lawn on the side of the house. I made a complaint online and called to cancel the rest of the treatments. Definitely not paying for this kind of service. They really need to look at hiring a better quality of staff for the Columbus area. read more

TruGreen has a strategy and it does not involve getting rid of your weeds and greening your lawn. They want you to sign up for monthly service where they come out and get rid of a few weeds at a time. That's how they maximize their profit. My lawn has never looked worse and I do a little better just buying weed and feed and fertilizing myself. When I called the manager at the local Columbus office and asked why I still had so many weeds and saw no improvement, his answer was hey I don't have a miracle weed killer. Stay far away from TG and don't waste your money. Chemlawn was a solid, reputable company that did quality work and provided true value. When they were purchased by TrueGreen it truly was the end of a great organization. read more

They say they kill weeds but dont! And when you tell them the weeds are still there, they say you didn't buy the right plan and want to charge you more money for the same crappy service. And not to mention the sales calls all the time trying to sell you more services that probably dont work either because they didn't sell you the right plan The lady told me i didn't buy the right plan that would kill my weeds , now why would i pay for the plan that doesn't kill the weeds , that is just stupid. I signed up last year for what I thought was 7 treatments. The company never contacted me at the conclusion so imagine my surprise when they started back up this spring. I called the company and was advised that it was a residual service, ....so even though I was not 100% happy with the service, I agreed to try it for a few more months. After 3 treatments my weeds are about as controlled as when I applied Home Depot stuff at a fraction of the cost of TruGreen. My biggest complaint is that I have been trying for 3 days now to cancel and it is like pulling teeth to get to someone who can cancel my service. There are reps all day long to sign you up.......but none to cancel you. I do not recommend. Also, that money back guarantee..... its bogus. read more

The only reason I have left one star is because I couldn't leave zero. While we had their service we got monthly soliciting calls for services that we told them we did not want. We had mediocre service with them and canceled and moved. Since canceling the service they call NON STOP soliciting. I have asked repeatedly to stop to no avail. ENOUGH already. I worked for TruGreen for a good while and while I love sales this company isn't professional at all. They screw your time over when you are sick and they can't seem to actually let people do the job correctly. I would not recommend employment here nor would I recommend the service. Good people work in this company which hurts me because they are also being treated like trash. read more

I was using Scotts service until True Green bought them out. In the first month they came to my home twice. The second time was an unscheduled application. I called and asked why and was told different lawns require different applications. I don't believe that my lawn would require another application within 1 week. I called and said that I was unhappy that they came twice in a 7 day period and cancelled my service. Since I received three calls from True Green asking why I cancelled. I explained that I'm not used to people doing unauthorized work at my home and charging me. Each time I as told that thy would credit my account for the $70 . I told the last caller that a credit did me no good since I cancelled my service but he never offered to mail me a refund. The good news is that I found a company that would do the same service for $25 less per application. read more

Paid for aeration service back in February and was told someone was be out in March to service lawn, nothing happened. Called a number in Athens, GA and was told a supervisor would call me. Supervisor from Opelika, AL calls me to say someone would be out that week, we're in June at this point. At this point I'm fed up and aeration prime time is over, I call again to cancel my service and was told a supervisor would contact me. Get a call from a supervisor saying I'm scheduled for June 27 and she can offer me a discount on the service, no thank you. If you can't show up when I've paid full price, why would anyone show up at a discounted price. Since I was inconvenienced, I asked for a weed control spraying and was denied and told I would have to be charged for that. You just offered me a discount on a service and now you're telling me I can't receive 1 weed control spraying as a result of being inconvenienced?? Anyway waiting for my refund, it will probably take just as long as the aeration didn't. read more

I called last week 9 May to set up a redo since they serviced my lawn on the rainiest day and it diluted the treatment and still had weeds in the yard. I was told that the service tech would call in a couple of days (48 hrs) to set up appointment. Nothing heard except late Friday I get the computerized call @ 1700 stating they would service my lawn on Monday. So Monday comes and at 1000 I did not hear from them so I called again. The agent told me she would send a text to the service guy to call me with an estimated time. I got the call at 4:57 pm exactly 20 seconds before he showed up. Sat home all day because they cannot give you a time like morning or afternoon. Strongly consider some other lawn care specialist because this company can't treat customers wit respect. Trugreen? More like truharrassment! I continually receive phonecalls from sales representatives. If I don't answer, they call back at another time. If I do answer, I will politely(at least at first) their services, but apparently they do not understand no because a few days later I will receive yet another phone call from them. It seems as though the salespeople are just trying to do their jobs. Unfortunately, those above them seem to lack a business morals and ethics. read more
