Really disappointed with the lack of communication…read more I booked a pottery class as a fun pottery night with my girlfriend and was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, when we showed up for our scheduled class, we were told that it had been canceled due to lack of interest. The frustrating part is that I was never notified that the class had been canceled. We had no email, phone call, or other communication letting us know not to come. We drove there expecting to have our scheduled experience, only to find out when we arrived that it wasn't happening. I was told to check my bank statement because the class fee had been refunded. I appreciate that the money was refunded, but a refund does not replace notifying customers of a cancellation. The issue isn't the refund; it's that we made plans, traveled to the studio, and showed up for an experience that the studio already knew was no longer taking place. I completely understand that classes may occasionally be canceled when there isn't enough interest. That's understandable. What isn't reasonable is leaving customers to find out only after they arrive. I hope the studio improves its communication process, because this could have been avoided with a simple email or phone call.
